    Exhaust System

Magnaflows, sound horrible at an idle. Thinking about switching to flowmasters?
  3. Well it was it was fun, but it needs a lot of the bugs worked out. After nearly six years it was nice to have it move on its own. Header leaks, TV cable too tight, not getting full thottle, seat not bolted down ect... By the way Sanderson CC134 block hugger headers will not work on a 240Z, TOO BIG!!! I'll post some new picture in the photo album.
  4. Don't take my word for it, but I run a 700R4 and I use Dex III. The guys at Bowtie Overdrives recommend Dex III. As far as brand, they say buy it on sales and change it offten.
  5. Autometer electronic phantom series
  6. Do a search there is lots of info on this subject. You will need adapters and I recommend 280 stub axles if you have a 240. Contact Ross at Modern motorsports for adapters.
  7. It worked, ground one of the terminals. Mine needs calibration badley, I was going 140 mph ( or so the speedo said ) around the block and put 4 miles on the odo. I unhooked the ground wire until I have time to do the calibration.
  8. I did so more reseach and found out that one of the terminals needs to be grounded and the other sent to the signal tab on the speedo. ( autometer electronic ) It appears that it dosn't matter which one is grounded. As soon as I have time I will try it and post the results.
  9. Well I have tried both terminals and nothing!! I guess one of the terminals needs a 12volt source? Any info on this subject would be great.
  10. The guys at Bowtie overdrives response to this question was. Try one of the terminals and if it dosn't work try the other one. You shouldn't need to buy anything to make it work. Good luck. Im a good thee weeks out before I will know if I picked the right terminal. Im trying the top terminal first. If you get a chance to test this please let me know. Thanks
  11. Hey Leith, What would you charge me for a set of spacers? I perfer to do my own install. Thanks
  12. 6 years and it still isn't done. Maybe this year
  13. I took my car out of storage the other day and hope to have it on the road for the Z car Nationals at Motorsports auto in April. There is alot of work that still has to be done. I posted a couple of recent picture in the general album. Mine is the blue Z with the billet centerlines.[/img]
  14. I m using a 7 qt. Hamburger oil pan. Its shorter than stock and has all the good stuff for controlling the oil. Its a road race style. Check my webb page for a picture or two.
  15. Go with a custom made set of headers, or sell your angle plug heads and put set on with straight plugs. Then you can use block hugger headers.
  16. Yes 700R I used a air chisel and a grinder. I used the JTR Bracket with the recommended tail housing. I cut holes the the floor to make room for the exhaust humps that the bracket has. This allows more room for the exhaust to bend around the the trans pan.
  17. I cut a hole in the trans tunnel in the area where the trans cooler lines hook up to the trans. Than I fabricated a new panel in place of the old trans tunnel wall. This gave me enough room to use a quality set of cooler lines that I purchased from Bowtie Overdrives (http://www.700r4.com) I believe the price was about $125 for the set which includes steel braided hoses to hook up to the cooler. Vist my web site and you can see the lines on trans prior to putting it in the car. Good luck
