Ok im in chicago and im picking up a VK from indiana, about a 300 mile drive. Is there a truck company like u-haul or something that offers a engine cratle or something similar ? or if anyone ever transported a engine, how did you do it ?

personally, i dont think you will save alot of weight, hell maybe 5-10 pounds at most. You probably know they scratch very very easily though.

i think the R200 is going to hold up... Im worried about chassis flex more though. If there is interest i can make several....

^ the engine alone, is around 2-3.2K. Long block. Use car-parts.com. I believe Axe Power ? is making something for the VH45 but nothing for the VK just yeat.

IMO swapping a I4 in the Z is gay. Pick between the L28ET or the LS1, for road racing/autox = L28 for street/drag = LS1

^ the VK heads are very good flowing heads. No need to port until 500hp+. The biggest restriction is the 22 in manifold. With a short runner and a medium sized cam you can easy see 400hp.

I don't understand why so many people are agianst the V6. It's got potential.
But regardless they're not going to get much more than 400hp out of it stock (at least in the US) due to regulations.
the V6 is the worst possible platform to turbo, because of their design and the amount of heat they produce.

its been happening alot lately. Alot of people are safe racing now adays. My friend was going to race a subaru heads up, when the guy shows up, hes like give me 5 and the hit. We laughed and went home.

I was going to use a L28 but. Yeah im welding up the chassis on the S130 now.
Im getting the VK out of a titan from a junkyard here in IL soon. Obvisouly using custom mounts....Im going to be using the VK transmission, modified ZX driveshaft and the R200 (3.54) Its going to be a automatic. But if that doesnt work, i will probably use a TH400 or a T56... I have access to a CNC laser cutter/ other CNC machinery, so making things custom is a breaze.

Well, i decided to swap in a VK56, after reading about some L28's and the low power output. 350-400 isnt really worth it for me, so im dropping this bad boy in. Now my question. Whoever swapped in A VH/VK, what kind of suspension are you using ? this will be in a ZX. The motor mounts, i will fab myself, but will everything bolt up, suspension wise, or would i need titans/armadas front suspension ? thanks
