  1. I was hoping someone with more knowledge might have jumped on this thread since up to now I have only been looking at EBC's. Sports Car Magazine ran an article recently that compared various EBC's including the Greddy PRofec A. Here's one of their points... "The final feature offered in the PRofec is an overboost warning alarm and protection function. If the boost exceeds a specified amount for more than one second, the system will drop the control pressure to the base boost level until the manifold pressure drops below the alarm point. This occurs in addition to visual and audible alert." Their article discusses the PRofec A needing to be setup using its alternate learning procedure. http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/tech/0207scc_blitz_sbc_i_d_boost_controller/index.html Not sure if this helps but good luck.
  2. This engine spec site lays out the majority of the differences. www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/enginedesign/
  3. If I remember heavy85 (Cameron) had an old draw thru SU setup that he was considering selling.
  4. The oil pressure sensors in L engines are notorious for low readings. Mine shows OK only about 1 in 4 times that I drive it. Other times it hardly moves. Check the connections or look for a replacement sensor.
  5. Here are the main components of Turbo Tom's system laid out. The bubble wrapped in the top right holds the meth/water tank that is injected into the intake manifold. I plan to look at progressive injection of the mix in my install. Below the meth/water tank is the intake plenum. It has a water heated section at the bottom to ensure fuel does not puddle on cold days. Choosing an appropriate fuel pump to feed the carb is also required. This kit does not have the "dial-a-boost" option. Hope this helps those thinking about draw thru options.
  6. 71240, I would love to see some pictures of the Turbo Tom setup. Also of Texis300's setup which I believe has the adjustable boost feature. Knowing where the various vacuum, and other lines, run to and from might help other people who are thinking about a carb setup. Turbo Tom's kits heat the manifold under the carb to ensure there isn't a fuel freeze up. It would be interesting to build on Tom's original good work with variable meth injection and more current technology.
  7. I picked up SuperDan's Turbo Tom system and am slowly pulling components together for an "old school" fantasy L28. I plan to install the TT onto my L24 this spring to get more experience with it as I pick up parts for the L28.
  8. Classic Zcar has a some posts with good pictures, but their servers are down today.
  9. Check www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/enginedesign It's a great link to trying different combinations of standard engine components and outputs displacement and CR.
  10. I think a lot of people aren't seeing the car on ebay because of the "240 z" in the title, which pulls up 65 items. If it was posted "240z" like most people, which pulls up 975 items, a lot more people would have probably found the listing.
