  8. - To swap a R200 long nose into a s-30 chassis ( CV axle wise ) you will need: A. 87-89 300zx turbo cv axles + 4 bolt adapter on outboard side , B. 79 - 83 200zx cv axles + 6 bolt adapter C. 84-89 300zx N/A cut down & re-splined + adapter. Option A & B are easier but axles are impossible to find anymore - good luck! Option ( C.) will work but CV & axles are weaker than option A. & will cost more $ to put in place. To my knowledge these three CV axles have the only three stub shafts that will fit the R200 long nose without a later modle VLSD swapped in. please correct this info if I have it wrong. If you have a source for any of the CV axles above please post for all us R200 long nose "Z" swappers. NagaZ
  9. The supply of 300zx turbo cv axles seems to be dwindling - This presents a major problem - to anyone putting a R200 into an s30 chassis or s31t owners for that matter. Only two 29 spline stub axles fit the older - non vlsd - long nose R200 - the N/A six bolt ( three sets of 2 bolt holes outboard flange ) & the Turbo ( 4 bolt outboard flange ) the 6 bolt N/A cv axles are weaker & to long for a good swap - they would need to be shortened & new splines machined. Could be done - but the turbo CV's are a much better swap! If I have any of this wrong - please correct! DOES anybody know where all the 300ZX turbo CV axles are hiding? Nagaz - project stalled!
  10. Simple , This is key - You need to sections your struts to gain back suspension compression travel lost when you lowered your 240 by installing threaded collars & coil springs . If you don't shorten your struts the top sring retainer will smash into the top of the strut all the time.
