would wiper arms from a 240z fit on a 280z? I am having trouble finding new arms, the grooves in mine have been worn out and I'm nervous about buying used arms because they could be worn as well. I found a set for a 240 that is new though and was hoping I could buy and use them. Also the stubs that you fit the arms into have grooves is there a place to buy new ones if ever they wore out? I truely hate the whole windshield wiper system on this car, it's the only part of it that was poorly designed. On another note I just bought me a set of tokico illuminas and springs AND a rear disc conversion kit that includes the calipers and drilled/slotted rotors, I've got some fun installations ahead of me wish me luck

well I finally got the check from the insurrance company this weekend and my new Z is in my driveway! I've already begun the transfer of all the best parts from my old Z to the new one. I got the 4 piston toyota calipers and my drilled and slotted rotors, carpets misc interior pieces etc just spent 200 bucks on random things that had gone wrong in the engine bay and she's runnin pretty darn good. Now I just gotta trade transmissions and radiators and order me some new struts and springs and she'll be good to go!

I have both the hood and fender 60 each sound fair? do you live close enough for pickup? I'm in kelso washington about 30 minutes north of portland on I-5 these are some rather large pieces to ship.

alright I got the insurrance company up to 2580 (from their original offer of 1200) which I accepted because I found a rather nice z in that range that I'm buying hopefully next week. I'm parting out my car if anybody needs anything shoot me a PM I live in washington, it would really help cover the cost of getting my new one in shape

thank you anthony I love you haha I'm sending that nada form right to the adjuster. they got that value by calling a some random used car dealership somewhere in oregon so yeah it's rather lame. The problem with insurrance companies is they have incentive to rip you off, they make more money that way so no one could trust them. especially considering that they dont ever let you talk to real people just those damned voicemail boxes, it's like psychological warfare ugh

theres a nice ish 77 280z for sale in portland about 20 minutes from me I've gotten to know the seller and it looks like a nice car I"m gonna go down there this weekend and check it out, he wants 2500 for it, it's not in the BEST shape but it's perfectly fixable it's about where mine was before it was destroyed minus a few upgrades. I left a message on my insurrance adjusters voice mail (because he is only in the office for ONE hour each day from 8-9am) I told him he could buy me that car and let me keep mine and we'd call it even, I laughed at him when he told me 1200 I told him theres no way in hell I'd take that. I'm calling some body shops right now to get some estimates on repairs to mine but honestly it got hit hard and even if they can fix it it will never be the same.

autotrader and edmunds only go to 1981 any car made before that is not listed thats the problem with these things, theres no kelly blue book price theres nothing to go on except what they're selling for

oh I plan to fight it it just seems like a loosing battle getting a hold of them at all takes an hour and then they laugh at me when I tell them what I think it was worth which is between 4 and 5 grand. I cant afford a lawyer this is ridiculous my car got destroyed, my baby, I put so many hours into it so much work and they smash it and try to bully me into accepting less than half of what its' worth!

OK so it's been 3 weeks without a vehicle and they called me today and told me that they'd give me 1260 for my Z... It's worth way more than that I need you guys to help me find examples of Z's in the same shape as mine that have sold for more or some official price guide that lists it.. I dont know I need help I found a Z in my area for sale for 2500 but its rusting! 1260 wont get me another Z I need your guys's help please! Jesus they shouldnt be trying to low ball me they should give me the fair ammount and then they should kick in a little extra just because my car got smashed in and I've been without a vehicle for 3 weeks gaw

I just hate giving up on it I want it fixed I dont want another one I want this one. shes my baby! Everything is actually pretty sound the a piller is fine the only thing is on the inside you know area right behind the doglegs on the drivers side under the little side window thats crushed in and bent up

hmm yeah probably I'm gonna try to get some estimates to show the insurrance company I want at least 5k from them if they dont fix it to buy a new one my number keeps going up as I look around for a decent Z around me they are no where to be found

wheelman I might be interested in that 260 if you'd inquire for me I'd love ya for always I looked at a 240 in town that has some cancer and a dent to the rear end I think I could get it free I just dont know if it would be worth fixing I'm gonna try and get it maybe I can part it out even if I cant fix it right

The entire rear end is dead the wheels are crooked the passengers side rear rim which is steel cracked when it went through the concrete curb. It got hit HARD I dont think it will ever drive again. But I plan to keep it for parts if the insurrance company will let me.

I finally had it running right I put so much time and money into it. The insurrance people are avoiding me naturally I might have to get the family lawyer on this one. I doubt I'll get $2000 out of them which will not get me a Z in anywhere near the same shape as this one. This happened yesterday I fugin cried when I saw it.

My neighbors 16 year old daughter parked her beamer in neutral and it rolled down the hill and totalled my Z. anyone selling a strong Z car near southern washington state?

hey guys I finally got around to replacing the bad brake line that's kept my rear brakes from working I replaced the front rotors with drilled and slotted ones and new pads etc and I bled them just fine but on the rear's I cant find the bleeder valve. On the front calipers there was a valve that you turned to open and then you get somebody to stomp the pedal and the fluid/air came out of it but on the drums I can find nothing like that... anybody have the solution? It's probably ridiculously obvious and I'm going to feel rather stupid for it I know but I appreciate it

they have tweeters on them so I cant trace also the hole they go into must be smaller than the circumferance of the speaker so there is no real way to make your own template by tracing anyways. I want this to look professional. This is a standard speaker size there must be a printable template somewhere...

I'm looking for a printable template so I can cut into the wood panel and screw the speakers down not an adaptor though I could make a template out of that but it's a lot of trouble, a lot of speakers just come with cardboard templates but these didnt.
