  1. yeah i thought so so my plan is just keeping the four lug b/c i like my huge meshy wheels and doing some kind of minor 300zx brake upgrade and just doing coilovers with some sway bars or something to stiffin up the suspension. i am also going to do a z31 internal diff swap to the 280zx diff. the engine is going to be most of the work of course w/ forged pistons and rods with p90 head w/ work and a t3/t4 w/ full custom turbo back exhaust and 255 fuel pump and 440cc injectors. i was just throwing this out there to see what you guys thought about this set up and maybe if i am missing anything. if there is any advice on this swap (maybe you have done it yourself) then please let me know b/c i know there will be something that i will for get. thanks guys
  2. or can i do a s13 rear subframe and diff swap into the 280zx. i am just looking into what i can do to fit modern day suspension parts on the old 280zx. please give me any advice on what i should do for a stout suspension on the 280zx. i want close to no body roll and no wheel hop w/ 350 rear wheel HP.
  3. i have the complete suspension and subframe/diff and everything underneath the 1987 z31 my question is will it work or even be neccessary to swap onto a 1982 280zx. i was planning on just doing the diff swap but the guy is selling me the entire rear subframe, diff, cvs, spindles, brakes and everything off of his 300zx donor car. I even got the front hubs and suspension. i was just seeing if it would make a difference and/or possible. please let me know if any of you guys have any incite on this. thanks
  4. where are all of you guys getting your coilovers and for how much. if it isn't that hard to build i would like a little insight on that. thanks guys and everyones s130 sounds awsome i just get sick and tired of hearing about everyones crazy S30 and how you can do this and do that while i am in the corner wondering how the hell am i suppose to work on my s130 when all everyone ever talks about is an s30. it seems to me there needs to be an s130 section so that way no one will be confused on what car you can do what on. but that is just my opinion. anyways thanks and look forward to hearing from some other guys.

  6. i didn't know whether to put this post in here or not so please forgive me if i am doing wrong. thanks i was just wondering who is doing what to there s130. what type of motor are you doing/ what types of body mods/ you know just to get up a friendly post. this way every one just talks to one another w/out any kind of mean post. any way just to start things off i am just starting an s130 N/a block to Turbo swap with some heavy suspension mods. o yeah if any of you guys have any help or know how on what i should do with this swap please let me know. thanks alot guys and i look foward to hearing from alot of you other guys

  9. i didn't know wether or not to post this here or not. i am relatively new to the forum as well as a Z owner. My question is I am doing a N/A to turbo Swap on my 1982 280zx and i was wondering if there are any differences between the N/a harness and the turbo harness. I also was wondering if i need the turbo distributor and/or the CAS. I am also trying to get Grayzee to do a z31 ecu and maf swap for me b/c i am not so great with wiring. So other than the two questions i asked if anyone has any more input on what i should do to complete the N/A to turbo swap please do answer and let me in on some of your insight. thank you

  11. if i use the Z31 ECU and MAF do i also have to change the wiring harness or what do i need to do to adapt the ECU to my Existing ZXT wiring harness. thanks
  12. Car-parts.com has helped me out alot. i have been in contact with a few people that have some L28ET's and i think i am going to go get one here in a few weeks. But if any of you guys find some more l28et's or the wiring harness or ecu's or transmissions please let me know. thanks guys

  14. the title says it all. where can i possible get a L28ET with the wiring harness and ecu. everything that i possible need to swap an L28ET into an existing L28E 10th anniversary. if anyone has one that i can get from them or has a place that is credible enough to get one from please let me know. i am trying to avoid buying an entire parts car b/c that is a lot more money than just buying the motor.   15. ok here is the deal i am doing a rb25det swap in a 1982 280ZX i was just wondering if anyone had any encite on what kind of diff i should use and how i can install it. i am doing the swap myself but i cant decide on what diff to use. everyone on here has just a crap load of info but it is mainly for the olders Z's i didn't know if the diffs and carriers were that much different b/c i only have a ZX and not a Z so anyone that could help me decide on a diff and how the instal might be please let me know thanks
  16. so the question is still out there on if anyone makes the solid bushings now for the subframe and entire drivetrain or if i have to make them myself anyone knowing where i can get them please let me know also what is the deal with the Z's a-arm or whatever and is there anyway i can retrofit it to the ZX to reduce the squat that everyone is talking about o and one more thing is there any other methods of chassie stiffining (like braces under the car) that anyone makes or an easy design for me to make myself once again any info is appreciated thanks
  17. are there any kind of aftermarket trailing arm or control arms or any suspension component i may not know about that would be benificial for a Rb25det swapped 280zx i am just hoping to reduce alot of body roll and and wheel hop this way i get all the power to the ground without a whole lot of stress on the car. anything is appreciated thanks

  19. i was just wondering if anyone makes Solid alluminum subframe and diff. bushings i know people make them for 240sx's but i was wondering if anyone makes them for the 1979-1983 280zx's if anyone knows where to get these bushings please let me know ASAP thanks
  20. i was wondering if anyone has ever used the 240sx LSD guts and transplanted them into the stock diff so no readjusting of mounting points anyways it just came to me and i was wondering if anyone has tried this and what all i would need from it to work such as axles, bearings, etc.. let me know if any of you guys have any insight on this thanks
  21. i guess i will just look for some z31 diffs and try that bc finding a r200 is imposible anyways if any of you guess have any more info i can use concerning a new rearend in the 280zx please let me know thanks again guys
  22. where do i find one it has been the hardest thing to find any type of diff that will fit this old car and plus i want the lsd b/c we plan on doing the motor next and it will be a little more fun in an lsd after everything is done plus right now i am just trying to get it running so where do i find these parts or rearends thanks
  23. i know this has probably been talked about many of times but i just can not seem to find the info i am looking for so if any of you experts could help me out i would greatly appreciate it. ok i am rebuilding my dad's Stock N/A 1981 280zx and i do not know what to do about the R200 diff. it is completely shot. so my ? is what is the best route to go when rebuilding or replacing the diff. i have heard alot about the vlsd's that the 240sx's have but i do not know the extent of installation i have also heard about the z31 and z32 rearends but do not know what all is involved with the installation once again o yeah i forgot to mention that i was tring to go for an lsd but anyways if any of you guys could tell me what in the world i need to do i would greatly appreciate it. thanks and i look foward to hearing from alot of you veterans on this topic
