  1. youll know that you machinist was right when the rod goes through the side of the block. The real question is are you willing to risk it and how much is at stake if you destroy the block? If it was a junkyard motor I wouldent think twice, but if I stuck some time and money into it I would just suck it up and do it right so I dont lose sleep. just my nickel and dime
  2. Always use normal copper sparkplugs with turbocharged engines, overpriced iridium/platinum plugs fail and crack at high temps and can cause alot of damage. Cost me 8 valves and one piston to find it out for myself, one valve was completely destroyed/cut off from a blown iridium spark plug. NGK SPARK PLUGS for your RB gap to .025" to .031" COPPER #BKR5E-11 I would start with the plugs they are like 2.50 each if that dosent fix it then swap around the injectors. And the injectors are not that hard to swap. Just pull the rail (carefully) (3 or 4 bolts i think) and juggle 2 injectors (relube the rubber grommets with vasaline). and if it is failed RB20 injectors are the same as KA24E injectors. You can grab a grommet kit from autozone. For good info from lots of people that have been down the rb road go here nicolub rb forums
  3. if the car is dead and sitting in your drive then yank the alt and post the part number here or cross refrence it at Kragen or rockauto.com If you post it here ill run it for you and see what i can find. Bmw owners gotta look out for one another or the stealer will gouge you. As for your batter there are cheap replacments that work just fine for 1/4th the price of a bmw battery

  5. just put 31 inch glasspacks on in side pipe format. Friggin love it sounds great and looks super aggresive on a lowered car.
  6. Let me perhaps ask in a more simplistic way. Has anyone put a 280zx rear spoiler on a 280z? If so how much of a pain was it to make it look good? And do you have pics! And im not one to point out pointless responses but seeing as were both doing things we rarely do. Why would you keep a thread going with absolutly no usefull information other then "But I will say anything can be done with time and money." When clearly i'm trying to be a complete cheap ass.
  7. So will a zx wing mount up to a z with minimal fabrication? I currently have a 3 piece from a 70's camaro that im eyeing to hack up to work.
