  3. Yeah probably O ring. Barbed injectors are a ***** to take on and off. I just hate the entire stock fuel system
  4. Does Pallnet not make fuel rails? I went on their website and didnt see any way of ordering one.
  5. Ok so I figured out its not the AFM like I thought it was. But after a full tune up it is much better. The flutter that i was describing actually turns out to be a lean misfire. It now only happens at about 5k rpm and up. Maybe the injectors? Idk

  9. Found this out the hard way. 77 door wont fit on a 76. Bolted the door up and tried to close and was like ****... lol

  12. I need a 280zx Turbo AFM. Mine failed and i need a new one. Needs to be in good working order. Dont want to spend a whole lot since Ill be going to Megasquirt and Z32 MAF later on. Just need something until then. PM me with price shipped to 35405
  13. ok well replaced all the vacuum hoses and it runs alot better also ran some sea foam through it and replaced the fuel lines and fuel filter. Now it only flutters a little bit at 5k rpm. Pull it back in the garage and pop the cover off the afm. Looks like it had been pulled off before. Water standing in the afm ... So the problem is the afm. At full throttle on the afm the car will bog down but at any other position its fine. So need a new air flow meter. If anyone has one let me know

  15. I was wondering if the 280zxt exhaust will swap over from the s130 to an s30 with little to no modification. My s30 isnt ready for the swap yet (gonna get it all painted first) so in the mean time I want to start doing some mods to the motor to make it a little more fun to drive in the meantime. If i have a custom turboback made on the zx will it swap over when I do the swap?
  16. Ill check tonight the car has been 200 miles away from me at my parents house. I think it is though so the cam swap on the C cam wont work for me. Ill probably just use it on a stroker build
  17. Yes im referring to compressor surge or atleast what sounds like it. It happens in any gear as soon as you hit 4k rpm. Im sorry if I was being vague but it really is strange. The turbo seems to spool fine but as soon as i hit 4k rpm it starts to surge and falls flat on its face.
  18. I have an 83 280zx turbo with around 128xxx miles on it. I just replaced the TPS on it and now it drives pretty normal. Now the problem im running into is the car runs good up to about 4k rpm and the the turbo sputters/ surges. It seems to spool fine until 4k. I had to drive it from my parents house to mine around 200 miles and cruising at about 80 with the 3 speed puts you at about 4k and you could here the flutter from the turbo pretty bad so I slowed it down to about 70 and it was just fine. Also I get a little bit of white smoke in my exhaust but my compression numbers were excellent and i dont have any oil leaks. Im thinking the turbo needs a rebuild. What do you guys think. Could there be something else causing this problem. Do i need to adjust the TPS or are they pre adjusted when you buy a new one.
  19. I have a couple of motor so I can borrow the spray bar and etc to make the C cam work with the p90 head. The A cam may be better but I have a C cam not an A cam so thats why I asked.

  21. Did you have the cowl panel screwed into those pieces of wood? Thats pretty creative might be a good way to paint small pieces like that
  22. What do you guys think about putting a C cam into an L28ET out of an 83 zxt
