2JZ piston are 86mm Vg30 piston are 88mm your going to have to have them made custom anyways, why not just buy vg30 piston's, there are several companies who make pistons for the vg. come over to z31performance.com/forum/ the guys there can sort you on what you want.

I am running a MS2 3.57,using the distributor and stock coil on my 87. all it took was a 1k resistor to "find" the cas signal, the rest was straight forward. I bought mine pre assembled from Diyautotune.com. i bought the 3.57 so no more soldering, just jumpers. I have been running my car for 2 years on 10psi no wideband, it has not blown up yet.Its a great system but tons of reading is required to understand everything. im not a master by any means but you can pm me with questions.

i hope so, im debating switching my 0.70 housing for and 0.81. Haven't decided yet.what do you guys think?

im not sure you can bore a vg33 to 98mm. also if your just going to boost 10 PSI, the stock pistons can take much abuse.

do you really need a surge tank? the stock fuel pump may be able to keep up, i dont know much about the factory pump, but you can always get a walbro for 100$, that will keep up.

nice setup do you suppose this spark map would work for me aswell. i have an 87 300zx, with an 84T motor, running on 8-9PSI.

nistune is about the only way to accomplish that. or better yet buy a megasquirt

how do i get a general idea of what my afr is with a narrow band 0².

i should have mentioned that i have a VG30ET. thanks for the help guys, my car is more drivable now, but i still am way off in the accel enrichment. when i am driving i can hear sputtering in the exhaust, is this caused by the accel enrich? i dont see the LED flashing when the pops happen.

anyone want to point me in the right direction for adjusting the accel enrich? i never punched in those settings, they must be factory. thats odd, i set it to MS2 but it shows up as microsquirt, i will re burn it. thanks guys

naviathan, i am blipping the throttle just to show that it jumps very high upon hitting the throttle, i understand it will shoot up but it spikes so high it cuts out almost.here is my msq. megasquirt2886.zip

UPDATE ok i got all 6 injectors firing now, but now when i hit the throttle, the pulse width jumps off map, then it stables off, the car sounds like its sputtering now. what would cause the pulse width to jump off the map?

k guys, i sent off my MS2 for repairs when i blew the VB921, and when i got the mS2 back my runs runs very poorly. i have figured out that one injector bank is not firing. i have tested the Q1 and Q5,and they both give me a reading. is there anything else i could check? so far ive checked the fuses, updated to the newest firmware 2886. any help would be nice. im running a MS2 V3.0, using the stock z31 cas,running a single coil.

there is no need to test anything.................. ive got lots of bad solders too on this board. where is a good place to have this thing repaired..
