I have expired tags and I new the cop was there he was behind me in the other lane. I felt pretty crappy yesterday and had a horrible headache so thats why I drove everyone, wasn't in the mood to get wasted and I owed some rides to my friends cause they drove me last weekend.

I was on my way home from dropping off all my drunk friends and I was the DD for the night. I was driving pretty good, I'm not the best driver in the world but who is? There was a car behind me and when it got a little closer I noticed that it was a cop, but no big deal I'm driving the speed limit and I'm sober. Out of nowhere he pulls me over and when he gets to the window he tells me my registration is expired. He then goes and runs my license and comes back and asks if I've been drinking, of course I haven't been and he tells me it smells like alcohal in my truck. He then tells me to follow his finger and he then says hes going to get the breathalizer. I told him to go right ahead and at this point I'm beginning to laugh cause for some reason I found all this hilarious. I take the test and blow all zeros. The cop who was really nice the whole time tells me that when he had me follow his finger, that my eyes didn't follow smoothly like they should which made it seem like I had been drinking and that it really did smell in the truck. He told me that naturally my eyes probably don't as smooth as others, which makes it seem like I have alcohol in my system. He also told me that my cologne could of been the smell he was smelling. I'm pretty sure it was the smell of all my drunk friends still lingering around in my truck, but he doesn't need to know that. The cop was actually a really cool guy and I'm not sure if he was lying about my eyes and it smelling in my truck, but I have a feeling he wasn't. I just thought I would post this because I found that whole situation hilarious and I have no one else to tell because everyone is asleep.

Are these rims too good to be true?

Thats weird the link works for me. -
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/pts/410057443.html Do you guys think that these offers are too good to be true? I am really interested in some new rims and tires, but I am unsure if this would be a good place to get them from. I am going to call him and go check them out, but some more opinions would be awesome. Thanks

I haven't had time to mess with the car yet but I did start it and I noticed that 2 of the wires that hook up to the distributor were arching so I need to figure that out before I do anything else. I have aluminum heads but I live in california and only have 91 gas. I have vacumn advance but right now it is closed. I don't know how to adjust it and was going to have someone do it for me but if someone can explain it to me I will do it.

Right now I have a 195 thermostat, thats what is stock for my motor. I have an adjustable timing light I'm just not sure what to set the total to. Right now I think its around 33 or 34. I am going to recheck it though and mess with is and see what it likes the best.

It's carburated.

I got it figured out and it was the part my error and the rest was the damn Pete Jackson Gear drive. Don't buy one. When you line the dots up on the cam sprocket and the crank sprocket the cam is way out. I got a double roller and now I just need to tune it. What is a good temperature to run the motor at? I was told 220 but that seems sort of high. I drove it around a little bit today and the temp ranged from 180 to 200 depending on how much gas I gave it. The car doesn't have all that much low end and it likes to rev which makes me think that it's running lean. I've only gone about 5 miles since I've got it running so I know I haven't hurt anything yet,if it is lean. I've been messing with the timing a little I tried 8 degrees and 12 degrees. The motor liked 12 degrees better but im gonna mess with it some more. Does anybody know what kind of total timing I should have? Thanks for the help Brad

Its a Trick Flow stage 1 cam and when I had the timing at about 10 degrees when you hit the gas it would backfire through the carb.

There aren't any intake restrictions I would be amazed if there were any exhaust restrictions because of the noise level it makes but I will double check that. The fuel is 91 octane and is only a couple months old. The cam is suppose to be for a roller and the cam card has the timing order and it says the HO firing order and states that it's an HO cam. The carb is brand new and the secondaries work I am assuming the carb is jetted right but how would I tell? I need to check on a few of the other things but all of emm check out. What is the possibility of them sending me the wrong cam or grinding this one wrong? and do all 302's have either the HO firing order or the non HO firing order. There isn't a third one that would come from a a truck or something is there? Brad

I've been trying to get my motor running right for months and don't know what to do. At first my cam was installed in the wrong spot so I degreed it in. Both the intake and exhaust open 3 or 4 degrees late, so I figured it was just some human error, and if not it wouldn't hurt all that much. The motor has no power at all. It's slower than a geo metro, maybe not that slow but you get my point. I have a rebuilt 5.0 its the roller block. Trick flow heads and cam, performer RPM intake, edelbrock carb, MSD 6AL, summit HEI Distributor, and stock lower end. We did a compression on a few of the cylinders and they were all in between 180 and 190 psi. I had the timing at about 15 degrees. Anyone have any opinions? The cam is for the HO firing order. Could the lifters possibly need to be replaced? When my dad and I were degreeing in the cam the dial indicator would move up about a thousandth of an inch than back down and up again then back down again then the lifter would start to rise. This confused us but we sort of ignored it, could something be wrong with the cam? Hopefully all of this makes sense. Brad

Don't forget that the Bugatti weighs twice as much as that cobra. The only advantage the Bugatti has is that it's all wheel drive, and has all the things an ordinary luxury car has. Which is nice, but sort of pointless in my opinion because it will barely be driven and only in good weather. That's just my opinion and both cars are amazing don't get me wrong.

Porting the blower on the cobras will give you over 450whp, or so I've been told. I was told this by someone who got there cobra dyno tuned, but he could of been lying also.

The video says 5996cc, and Wikipedia says 4996cc, I wonder which one is correct. Can anyone verify this, or are there 2 different toyota V12's?

Those are some amazing drawings, all I can draw by hand is stick figures:icon_frow . I sure can draw stuff on autoCAD though. I really like that picture of the guy hunting though, great work. Keep posting more.
