So I also need 440cc injectors. I "bought and traded" Juilliard my 280zx ones with money for his, THREE Weeks ago, haven't heard back from him or anything since I sent him anything. Does anyone think that they might be able to help me out here?

  3. looking to trade some parts for a 11mm o-ring fuel rail.

heres a list of some of the things i have from a 78 280z

    barbed fuel rail

    AFM-working

    voltage/fuel guage

ecu with wire from injector side uncut(keeping passenger side)-working

    stock exhaust piping

    fuel pump

    intake and exhaust mani

    280zxt fuel rail

    clutch fan(2)

    horn pad

    280z emblems

    headlight combo switch

there are a few other parts i have, just cant think of them right now

  4. soo, a friend of mine had a evo 8 that had a tire that locked up and ruined it(engine was almost untouched..?). anyways he is parting the car out and willing to sell parts to his friends first for low prices. Anyone know anything about their rear disk brakes, and maybe using them on a 78 280z for a conversion?

  5. the barb fittings are not lined up due to fact i took them out to clean and just put them back temp for the picture. The scratches were there when i got the rail, were just to deep for me really to remove with what i have.

  6. well hell. it sounds like im going to go over my goal then with the build im trying for. guess I kind of underestimated how much I really am going to get out of this and should look back over my plans again, or just spend the money for it, ;)

But it also sounds like whatever the turbo really is, its still too big for what im doing for a while

  7. so if its not a GT45, then what is it judging by the specs? I went to http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/ and couldnt find which turbo it really is, looks like somewhere between GT40 & 42. My goal is just around 250whp, closer to 300 though, at least till i move out of the area i live in now and get closer any machine shops and what not. But that wont be for a few at least another 2 or 3 years from now... Im working on coverting the L28e from a 78 280z to a turbo.

  8. im using the engine from a 78 280z, but going to use the 240sx tb, 280zx intake and exhaust mani's. but after looking at the pic, what you all said, and my goals for the momment, im going to go with a smaller t3/t4 turbo. Elevation ranges from 780-2,450ft. how much will that affect the turbo choice?

  9. i know that engine size plays a roll when looking at turbos. but im looking at a GT45 with the specs-Compressor Size: Inlet = 4 3/16", Inducer = 68.7MM, Exducer = 97.8 MM, Trim = 69,A/R = 0.66, Intake (ID / OD) = 2.25" / 3.25" Turbine: Outlet = 4", Turbo flange = T4, Downpipe flange = 3.5" V-band, Inducer = 87.4 MM, Exducer = 77 MM,Trim = 92, A/R = 1.05

would this be too big for the L28 engine to really work?

  10. the local pull it yourself is out of the question because of my location, western MD. No where has any of the parts/cars in the surrounding 100 mi area. Some of that stuff on ebay cost more in the end rather than the kit. But is the turbine the only thing that is too small to use, or is basically everything to small?

  11. tools- if i dont have it, i know someone who does

skill lvl- rebuilt a few dsm engines with my brother, along with fixing a few other kinds for people(learning as i go and read)

goals- friend has a 95-eagle talon, killed me, want to kill him and then some, but like drifting a lot

driving- i drive manual 65%, auto 45% of the time(prefer manual because you have more control over it)

money-i work at Mcdonalds and live in MD,

the VG30E looks in great condition and is in a junkyard and tran for 570 16k mi on it

finding a 280zx turbo, or parts for my L28 so i can turbo it is a bit harder to find in my area, shipping from like CA and other places out west to here is a killer :(

the blue tree would look best :)
