  1. So sad to hear about Ross. I've been off the forum for a few years while my project is on hold. Ross was a true Z enthusiast, and always willing to give advise and know-how. Truly a gentleman, and his early passing will be sorely missed.
  2. Was looking around for you, but I can't seem to find one. Unless you go custom. PRC might be able to make one for you. Or You can get a PRC rad, and make sure you ceramic coat all of your exhaust system. The Z engine bay has very bad flow, and tends to get hot. The lower you can keep the under hood temp the better. You can also switch your fuel to methanol which will burn much cooler, and probably be cheaper where you live. I'm also under the assumption that it get very hot where you live.
  3. No haven't done that. From what I've read the fluid requirement for the 240SX Calipers is very close to the stock drums that were there. But if I ever put in a set of BIG brakes in the rear I will have to do that.
  4. Thanks Pat1. Guess I'll be ordering another one
  5. There could be many things causing that. If you checked out everything already it could be that the rack is just OLD, and in need of a rebuild. I got my rack from these guys http://www.carsteering.com/addtocart/1984_Nissan/300ZX/Power_Steering_Rack/80-00490.html They where cheap and I got it on the 2nd day. Installed it and it was like night & day. Just hope the accept my core since it was pretty shot up
  6. I surprised you haven't changed over to coil-overs yet. You will gain more clearance. Since they take up significantly less space than the stock set up.
  7. 1 more note, during the install the M/C ran dry after I did the bench bleed. I redid the bleed in the car, but is it possible that I did it wrong, and that's what is causing this?
  8. Here is another alternative, if you have the CA$H. http://www.arizonazcar.com/strassy.html All you would need to do with this one is to rebuild the Q45 CV's with a shorter shaft. Just saw this one on Ebay. Worth a look. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissan-Datsun-510-240Z-260Z-280Z-CV-Halfshaft-kit_W0QQitemZ310203965626QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item483998e0ba
  9. Another benefit of going to a coil-over set-up is that you will be able to fit a larger with wheel on the car. Since the coil-overs take up less space under the car.
  10. Need some help with this one. I have a 74 260z with a 79 280zx brake master, SS braided flex lines, and 240sx rear disk conversion. I upgraded to the ZX M/C in preparation for larger front calipers, but have not done that yet. Here's my problem; the brake fluid is transferring from the front reservoir (rear brakes) to the rear(front brakes), and causing it to over flow. The rear brakes have been grabbing less, and less over the last 500 or so miles that I've driven it since the retro fit. What could be causing the fluid to transfer?
  11. I guess times must be tough. I remember when there would be a post every few min. Now it seems like a post every few days.
  12. Good to hear you'll be starting a new gig. I was in the same situation Dec, and Nov wasn't much better. Just need to catch up on 1 or 2 more debts, and I can finally start my build. Good Luck on Monday.
  13. Are there any clearance issues with the steering shaft?
  14. How does the PRC Rad sit in the car? At 19" does it hang below the frame rail?
  15. When replacing the floor pans you should look into welding in a sub frame connector. Like one from Bad Dog, or fab up your own. It's pretty simple to do.
