Ok went back and now found the right years for this fan shroud and possible raiator fix. its the 91 to 02 Escort (not the ZX2!) or the Mercury Tracer 91 to 02 models that have this fan shroud. Still test fitting everything. Might even try and modify the radiator to fit the Z car.

I got mine from an 90's excort 4 door. From what I can see on the net is most of the 90's used the same fane and shroud. I will keep everyone posted with some pics real soon.

Did a test fit on the radiator today and all is well and clear. This should also help with the heat on the L6 motor due to the location of the fan. Should blow most of the heat from the exhaust under the car and help cool the intake just a bit. This could lead to ? and might help out performance.

The motors and the fans I have are the exact same in size except the Esxort shroud sits to the drives side were the Taurus sits in the middle. I already switched everything for the electric fan upgrade on my L6. Wish me luck..

Ok went to the junk yard to pull some relays and other things for the Z and found a Ford Escort radiator that has the right dimentions but the bottom outlet is faceing the wrong way. I pulled this radiator out with the fan shroud and fan still attached. Got home and found out that this Escort shroud will hold the 2 speed Taurus fan just perfect. What makes this such a nice find is the fan is mounted to the side of the shroud. Which is good because when installed it will clear the water pump to allow for the taurus fan mod.. The fan will sit just above the AC compressor and just right of the water pump pully. Now this is a theary for test fits by looking and holding in place on a parts car. Hopping to get this fitted by this weekend with pictures.

I have 2 fans but both have different part numbers on them and both are 2 speed fans. I was wondering if we could get a part number (off of the fan motor) for the correct Taurus fan that is being used by some people on this forum. Thanks, John

Here is a little note I found out about an electric fan. I went to the junk yard today and found a radiator that fits almost perfect in place of the stock radiator. Just one problem though. It has the bottom outlet facing the wrong way. I dropped it off at my local radiator shop and they are trying to find out how we can get the bottom outlet to face the right way or to get a radiator from another car with the same size dimensions as this one. We will see in a couple of days what happens. I also found a fan shroud that will work with the Taurus fan. It is off of a Ford Escort 4 door 83-86 maybe more models. The shrouding has the same size fan motor and fan blade as the Taurus. The Escort shroud sits the fan to the right of the water pump which is the issue of the Taurus fan and the L6 motor. The Escort motor is also a two speed fan but the blades on the Escort fan is about 6 as were the Taurus has almost double this, which will pull more air. I am going to try and get this ready by this weekend and maybe I can get some pictures up and posted.
