  1. got any info on that tach adapter? I'm using the same coils and have been wondering how to set it up..
  2. So I am having a problem trying to understand exactly where the vacuum lines go on my new turbo conversion. Think any of you could lend a hand on how to route these darn lines...?
  3. The FSM shows a picture and all but its really hard to tell. Someone should be able to look and tell me if its one tooth off clockwise.
  4. Does this look right or is it a tooth off?
  5. No I am not using one.. Should I? I can grab 3 or 4 from a JY if need be. What are some good ones to use? Here are some pictures I took tonight of the Dizzy and timing marks. Was wonder if you might be able to help me get the tooth #1 angle. Pretty sure the Drive spindle is off a tooth.
  6. pcv is plugged, all opening have been closed off, I will double check intake TB spacer for leaks. It was idling around 2k with a default tune from the controller, so I will try reloading a default tune and see if that helps.

  12. Craig, This is a great advancement for the 240Z. I like what you are doing and think its a very wonderful idea. I have a few questions for you though. 1. What year 240Z is the mold made from? 2. About how long would it take to build a full shell. 3. Are you ready for orders or still in a prototype stage? Thanks, John
  13. Here is a copy of my lower bracket, I had it made up for my radiator conversion from JTR and it fits great. I have a 76 280z. As for the top I did something a little different. I had a Bracket made up to resemble the top bracket of a I-Rock Camaro. Lower Radiator Bracket.pdf
  14. Valmont, just wondering if you know what your going to do. I would like to put the info out there that, here in the South East Z engines are getting harder to find in good shap. Every now and then we see one in the local pick and pull. in 4 yrs seen about 5 engines. Here in savannah we have a very experienced Z machanic. One of the best I have ever taken a Z car to. He's been doing Z work since he was a kid. His dad started the business and he took it over when he retired. http://www.carterrace.com/front/ He has built proven race winners and much much more. If you are looking to spend the money to ship the engine, don't save it until you get to Kings Bay and come up to Savannah for a Z meeting and we can work on getting you an engine. I have an N42 and L28 block disassembled sitting in the garage with no plans on rebuilding it. I want to go with turbo L28 or V8. So keep this in mind and come see us when you get here. Its about 115 miles to Savannah and alot quicker than you would think.
  15. Kings bay. I know it, not well but have been there. So you are a buble head squid . I to was a squid a while back. If you want bring the engine somehow. There are some engines around this area but not an over flowing amount. I have one completly dissasimbled sitting in the garage. Here south GA there are a lot of trucks and a 350 chevy engine is like candy in a bowl. They are everywhere.
  16. Quick question? Where at in GA. Ft Stewart? If so when you get here come see us www.coastalzclub.com
  17. Its a little hard to see but there is about 1/2 inch to 1" clearance all the way around. I have had it like this for 2 years and have not ran into any bumping or rubbing problems. I have the JTR radiator, 90 escort fan shroud, ford taurus 2 speed fan, 240sx lower radiator hose fan switch, Nissan relays, AC and I have not over heated once. In fact it runs cooler than I would like it to. If you have more questions pm me or email me from my web page DMZComputers.com http://www.dmzcomputers.com/images/IMG_1554.JPG http://www.dmzcomputers.com/images/IMG_1555.JPG
  18. You have to include this upgrade with other upgrades to make a difference. It does how ever increase the throtle respone to were it feels faster. All you are doing is letting more air in and with out other mods you probly won't feel much a difference.
  19. hgeorge, I see you have the V8 in. I thought you had a 6 in your car. Never mind the escort fan for you the Tarus fan is perfect. Here are some of my pics of the job.
  20. hgeorge1, You may want to look into the Escort fan shroud in stead of the Tarus fan shroud. It seems to work out better. The fan moves over to the drivers side. I also cut an extra lower radiator hose to use for the top radiator hose. For the bottom hose I used the 90 chevy hose with a piece from autozone will get the number later for ya. It was a reducer for an exhaust of all things. LOL Good luck on the switch over. How are you going to wire your fan?
  21. So today I test fitted the JTR radiator in the car with my bracket made at work. I work on Army helicopters, so we have an array of shops and tools. I found out that the lower radiator hose off of the Z will fit the top portion of the JTR radiator to the thermostat housing just perfect if you cut one end of it. If you enter a zip code you will get a part number and price of a similar hose. Not the hose I used but something like it. genius Originally Posted by 1 fast z I have tons of room to run any fan in front or behind my radiator You must have modified your engine mounts to move your engine back or you have a skinny radiator. I have not had trouble finding a hose I was just looking for someone who might have some wisdom in the subject. I hope you suppliers don't BUT HURT us small guys to much. It might make me a Stay tuned for more to come on the radiator conversion P.S. Cool car parts site---- http://kalecoauto.com/

  23. I could have had that Radiator for 325.00 but what fun would that be? Plus I got mine and set it up for less than 200.00. I also think having an aluminum radiator bolted to the frame is the wrong answer for a daily driver. I did come to you for help with an email but you said you would not help me due to your research was so extensive or in depth or something like that and you never offered me the ability to purchase your radiator hose. So I say to hell with you. You come on here and have a smart a$$ comment about your radiator and how I could have it for blah blah blah amount. Who said I wanted your setup anyway. I was just interested in the upper radiator hose. Don’t worry though I did find out which hose I need to run. Besides I did a little research on your hose and you want to charge 50.00 for a hose that should cost no more than 15.00 from Advanceautoparts, Autozone, NAPA. I can understand how running a business would keep you from letting secret info get out to everybody and I don’t blame you for not telling anyone your prized secrets but don’t take this thread and advertise about your products. See 1 Fast Z is I have found a way to run a Taurus fan with the L28 having the stock water pump in place and if I used your radiator I would have had to use a stock fan or a wimpy electric fan.
  24. I am doing a JTR convertion on my 280 with an L28. I have been looking for a radiator hose that would fit without having to use the splicing kit that is sold by JTR. I have come up with a couple of numbers for the hose but I was wondering if any one has done this convertion and if so what hose did they use for the top hose. I was looking at Dayco #'s 71347 71097 71352 71230 72099 http://www.mvreader.com/multiview/dayco/bgDimHosesSearch.php?l=n&bgDimHoses=1&bgDimHosesSearch=1&partNumber=&hoseLength=All&hoseDiam=S&innerDiameter1=1+3%2F8&innerDiameter2=All&numberOfBranches=All&bgDimHosesSearch.x=28&bgDimHosesSearch.y=18
