  1. This is the hump that's on the lad case
  2. It's a clutch. I was looking for differences without opening up the cover. I noticed that when you take out the shafts that there is nothing obstructing the view on an lsd and there is on an open diff. I don't know if it's that way on all of them or not. Also noticed on the top of lsd that there is a small raised area about 1"X1" that is not on my open diff. Has anyone noticed this before. I can't figure out how the heck to post a pic or I would.
  3. I thought this site was for people to help each other. I know that the only way to tell 100% is to remove cover and look at it. I was checking to see if anyone might have come up with a new way to tell. If you can't try to help without smart remarks then don't post an answer. Pretty simple. Thanks for the help. I picked up an lsd and cv's for 600 bucks.
  4. Will an lsd and a welded diff act the same. Both spin the same direction. If it's an lsd can you hold on to one wheel and spin the other to make sure it's not welded. Don't know if it would work with and lsd or not
  5. true. that's why I was hoping that there was a number or something on it I could see
  6. Anyone know how i can make sure im getting an R200 clsd without opening up the diff. does it have any specific numbers on the casing i should look for.
  7. It's stock bottom end 5.7. T56 trans Gear ratio 3.70 lsd 99% street. Not a daily driver. Just a toy. Stock 243 heads. Ls6 intake Underdrive pulls Ls6 oil pump Ls7 lifters Ls2 timing chain Monster clutch stage 2 JCI headers. The small runners on the headers are the reason he says this cam will be the best for me.
  8. Already ordered the cam but after that post I think I will hold on to my stock cam and springs in case I decide to go back. I just wanted to put a z06 cam in it but everyone I talked to said don't waste the money and to get a good one. This swap got a little over what I had first planned. One of those while the motor is out things.
  9. Thanks. Good advice. Ls1howto.com was a good read. Learned a lot. So my can seems to be borderline for street. he says that cam will work well with the smaller runners on the JCI headers. Does that make sense.
  10. The shop that I'm getting my parts thru for my ls1 swap says this would be the best can for me. Not a dd but I want something very streetable. Not sure if this cam is too big. 227/230. 640/605 111 lsa.
  11. Does anyone know if any of the stock exhaust manifolds will work on an ls1 swap into a 76 280z. I was thinking maybe the ctsv manifolds or the z06. Anyone know for sure

  19. I currently have a 2 1/2" downpipe from msa. i am changing my turbo to a t3/t04e 50 trim stage 3. Will I be fine with the 2 1/2" downpipe or should I go to a 3". I currently have 2 1/2" downpipe to 3" mandrel bent exhaust. I don't want to waste money if it's not going to make a difference.
  20. i have one on my car. really like the sound, but you can't hear the turbo at idle.
