  1. Ok guys i had posted once before about failing my emissions with my 1988 300zx turbo. Let me give u some background i bought the car for $1100 in excellent condition except i needed a new clutch, turbo, steering rack, and some small other things. I took the car through emissions the first time and failed for NOx with these numbers... Standard Reading NOx 1184 2198 HC 157 109 CO% .88 .30 CO2% 13.3 O2% 1.2 So I went home and worked on it some and cleaned my egr valve and ran it through again and failed for NOx with these numbers Standard Reading NOx 1184 1645 HC 157 99 CO% .88 .81 CO2% 14 O2% 1.0 So for the third time i took it home and replaced my pcv valve, did a cap ,rotor, wires, changed the oil, new air filter, cleaned my injectors, and had a small exhaust leak, before the cat, fixed...but now i failed for both hydrocarbons and NOx with these numbers... Standard Reading NOx 1184 2197 HC 157 224 CO% .88 .88 CO2% 13.2 O2% 1.2 whats goin on here? what are your ideas on what i should do?...i have four days till my registration is suspended so help me out quick...thanks guys
  2. ok guys. i failed emissions for NOx i was 1000 over on NOx:mad:. I have a 1988 300zx turbo. I cleaned the egr valve and got all the crud out of that. What else should be done; plugs wires, pcv, cat, etc.? lemme know if you had this problem

  5. hey guys i just bought a nice alpine head unit from crutchfield. It came with a harness to bypass my stock amp, mounting kit, the head unit's harness and and a harness for my ignition power, constant power, power antenna, and illumination. The problem is the power harness doesn't work. I checked it for constant and ignition power and there is nothing there. Anyone run into this problem? What are your suggestions?
  6. how did u reach the upper nut/studs on the top of the downpipe did u get it from the top or the bottom?
  7. well i have the flange off but its where the exhaust pipe actually hits the downpipe its like it rust welded itself to the down pipe ive tried prying, liquid wrench, but im gonna try heating it tommorrow and hopefully i dont have to resort to the impact hammer.
  8. Alright so I'm replacin my rear main seal, throw out bearing, and clutch. Because of course rear main seal went and we all know if we get motor oil in our tranny thats no good. So i was trying to get my exhaust off and where it meets the downpipe off my turbo it will not break free. I've tried tapping the downpipe to break the rust free but it won't budge. Would it be easier to just take the downpipe off with the exhaust because it has to come off to replace the studs on the downpipe anyway. Any suggestions?
  9. i bought carpet from zcarparts.com and although you have to cut everything it comes fully molded and fits great. The carpet itself was nice but i didnt like that you had to cut out everything. I just took my time.
