intresting concept? 5 lug to 6 lug?

i bought 2 sets of wheels for my z. one set coevette wheels and the other nissan z32 90+ 300zx wheels. i think i'm gonna use the corvette wheels on my z project. so is there and one that makes a conversion 5 lug to 6 lug? so maybe i could bult the 90+ 300zx wheels to my 88 4X4 nissan truck? or is this idea just totally dumb and can not happin? -
it's the gearing on the 18 wheelers, thats where they get there torque, the turbo doesn't kick in at low rpm's on them either, how ever u can make a turbo have little to no lag. i'm not sure how but i am almost 100% sure it can be done. so it's like haveing a supercharger that doesn't take power to make it.

i'm going with a 6-71 blower/supercharger personally it looks much more impressive the power is there when u want it. i know it's gonna pass everything except a gas station but u all so gotta look at it this "way power cost money" besides if i every change my mind (and i prolly will not) i can take the s/c off and stick a turbo or 2 on. or maybe s/c and turbo. i doubt that. it could happin

here yah go. got to www.z31.com and www.zcar.com u will get better answers. and u can get better head gaskets! contact NISMO racing or jim wolf tech. u can get any thing from larger cams to t3/t04e turbo's. u can when u order a larger turbo just say it's for a nissan 300zx 1984-1989 pick a year. i think there is a maxima board some where. but i don't think ur trans is good with much boost. i heard of people adding turbo's to non turbo 300zx and didn't put a turbo 300zx transmission in (borg warner t5) so when they added too much boost the trans would not hold up. i doubt ur maxima front wheel drive trans is much better? maybe

i know there is a site on how to put a 350 ci chevy in to a z31 .a.k.a nissan 300zx 1984-1989. the best i can do is talk to the guys at http://www.zcar.com they can tell u where that site is, or maybe it's in the archives there? it should be. if u wanna off load some of those turbo parts from the 300zx give me a shout, i may be intrested. i just need the ecu and wiring harness.

yep, i want to go with adapters for the front i'm using a 12 bolt rear. i know the 300zx rear is easier. i just wanna try to make the whole drive train from front to back GM even my 6-71 blower came off a GM 6-71 dertoit. -
lately i've been gittin turbo's at the local junk yard, i know saab 900's and volvo 740 and nissan z31's all cam with t3 turbo's. what else did? that i could find at a junk yard? also i just pulled a nice tight turbo off of a mercedes turbo diesel 300DL. made by aireserch how do i find out what size it is? i'm pulling these to make a profit cuz i'm gitting amazing deals on them. so if any one want a t3 i maybe able to give the z guys a verry good deal as well. also what did the t28,t25 and t4 turbo's come on?

ok about the t5, they are easy to find here as the t10. but about the t5. whats so good about the WC t5? just tuffer? and what did it come in? how can i tell the differance between a bw t5 and a BW WCT5? yes $1,500 is alot for a t56 i have found them for $1000 but still. well when i get ready to buy a trans (hopefully soon) if i have the money for a t56 that what i'm gonna get. the application the trans is being bulted to is a 400ci chevy with a 6-71 blower. (in the process now) i donno if this helps with choosing a trans or not? but i was told the t5 would not hold up to more than 300-350hp, maybe thats just the trgular t5 and not the WC t5?

i have been thinking of useing 1 of 3 trans. BORG WARNER, t5,t10 and t56. i have no experiance with any of them. personally i do not do much drag racing, but i alwasy make exceptions to drag race hondas with my 300zx. i refuse to use a automatic like a 700r4. what do u guys use for transmissions and why? and what about a Muncie trans? i just found out about them today. i realy have no infor on them any good? and what are they good for? i really need help here any at all would be good thanks!

yep $20 for the wholeturbo with waste gate. i just bought an other turbo today for $15 came off a mercedes benz 300DL. made by aireserch. i gotta find out what size it is. i have no idea. looks close to a t3? there was a t3 there, but it needed to be rebuilt bad, real bad. so i left it. if ur friend wants to rebuild one, i can get it. it's definetly worth it to rebuild since i can get them cheep. -

if u know the right people,and i wait for a good deal, i can do it fairly cheep. so far i have spent $600. $400 on a 1977 280z. $200 on a 6-71 supercharger. (a friend needed the money) i was given a whole 350ci chevy from a caprice cop car and i was just given a 400ci chevy. i think i'm going with the 400. a friend of mine owns a machine shop so i get work done dirt cheep! i think i just bought some 84-87 crovette wheels for $200 for the z also. i havn't paid for them yet of got them yet. i was also given a 12 bolt rear end. oh question for u, did u build the t3/t4? or did u buy it? if u made it what did u get the t4 from? i can get t3's for $20 a shot. in good shape too. but i donno what a t4 comes on. -
in maine we can register out v8 z's as either "HOT RODS" "ANTIQUES" OR "kit car" A a kit car has to be registered but the chassis. even if it's a lamborghani on a fiero frame with a v8. to the DMV it's just a fiero v6 or 4 cyl. "hot rods" like t-buckets u can do pretty much what ever u want. and same with antiques. the insurance company goes by the vin on the car so to the it's just a L6 z. save ur slips!!! cuz if u get in to a axident, the insurance company has to pay u for what u have in to it or put the car back in to condition it was in befor the axident. thats what happined to my friend inhis vw they replance every thing sway bars,stainless exaust system, wheels, lowering springs, etc.... everything

ok here i am reading the new issue of Chevy High Proformance mag. and on page #62 the ratty looking Nova he's running 14.5:1 compression. on pump gas!!! becasue of his cams 283 degrees duration at 0.050. if he can do that, can i run flat top pistons, with my 6-71 blower and a similer cam. and still run pump gas? any guesses how high my compression would be? oh this is either going on a 350 or 400 sb. i havn't decied yet.

well i'm gonna lay it out for yah. i bought a 77 280z to make a hybrid, i bought a 350 chevy and a 400 chevy also a 6-71 supercharger. i'm just gonna collect on parts untill next fall. so i can start my project in college. well here is my problem, i also own a nissa 300zx 1986. few mods, new paint, air dam, wing, etc... i put some work in to it. i know these arn't the most disirable z's but personally i think mine looks good. my origanal plans was to sell it in the spring. cuz i only can offord 1 z, and i just bought Ducati. so i need to make up my mind what z to keep. although i still want to make one of them a hybrid. if it's the z31, i'm gonna sell the supercharger, and make one of the v8's either quad turbo or twin turbo. cuz a z31 would not looks right with any thing through the hood. if it's the 280z, i gonna stay with my plans. the reasion i brin this up is. i havn't drove my 300zx's in a few months and i drove it tonight and i'm having second thoughts about selling it. give me your opinon. please

not to be insulting or any thing, but this is a hybriz z site, mostly v8's it's not a hrbrid honda site, lol that would be a joke. but my car z's are not ricy!!! they do not have more the 1 spoiler, excessive amouts of vinal tape, more than 2 fog lights, or turbo/supercharged stickers on non turbo/supercharged cars. www.riceboypage.com we z owners are NOT rice boys! i was thinking of useing 300zx tail lights also, but the eirlyer ones 84-86 style? i wounder how they would look? i also considered skyline tail lights

in japan they made a twin turbo 280zx. i don't think many where made. check the turbo/supercharger forum here. a guy about a month ago made a l28 twin turbo motor really neat
