some one said i need to ground something out from the automatic wiring harness. i have since deletd the PM by mistake i need to know what it was i need to ground out from the automatic wiring harness.

i'm using a wiring harness from a automatic. some one sent me a PM saying i need to ground something out becasue i'm using a automatic harness on a manual tranny. i can't remember what it was i needed to ground out and i must have erased the PM by mistake.

great! i need to shorten my down pipe so it will not hit my front drive shaft. and i figured i can cut above where the EGR was to make it as short as possiable. thanks!!

is the egr pipe that comes off of the down pipe on my 300zx nessary? can i just block it off?

yes thats about what i was thinking was to make new tanks. cuz some of the saab ones are plastic too. it didn't take me lone to get the hang of welding steel. so i'm hoping aluminum isn't alot harder. i have plenty to practice on. i'm gonna try welding some that already have alminum ends befor i start making them.

i wish i could get starion IC's there is a bunch of starions and conquest tsi's in the junk yard but all the ic's are gone. everything else is there. oh i can also get ford probe intercoolers too!! they look like they could make a good intercooler. i have one eagle talon IC i would love to weld to an other. it's like 4 inches thick!! but all those in the junk yard are gone as well. i working on gittin some NPR and GMC intercoolers. i drive a GMC it's the same as a NPR. the intercooler isn't really any bigger than a volvo one just wider. considering you can buy 2 volvo IC's from ebay for half as much as 1 NPR. i bet those would work good welded together.

fuel pump isn't hooked up either. i'm going to have it hooked up by a switch. i bought an aeromotive fuel pump. kinda over kill it's rated for like 1000hp or 1200hp. i can't test spark either. coils isn't hooked up the harness. i know your probably like "just hook it up" since my truck was a 4 cylinder and had 8 spark plugs and had 2 coils. still isn't a problem. i need the plugs that go to the coils. i seem to have lost them. they attatch to the mounting brackt for the coils. i gotta go to the junk yard hopefully this weekend and get some. thanks!! you have been alot of help!!!! i'm sure i will have more questions for you.

got a question i have just wired up my vg30et in to my 4x4 nissan and my ECU lights are not lighting up. i thought that i have got everything pluged in. any idea on what i may be missing? i figure i must have left somthign out.

what do you guys think a good price would be for say 2 volvo intercoolers welded together. i figuer between $250-$300 i mean is this a good fair price?

it's a mig welder it comes with a argaon bottle and regulator. it's a 150 amp, 230v single phase Century.

hey, i just bought a welder. now i can finally weld 1/4 steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. i have seen some people on ebay selling intercoolers that have been welded together. is this a good idea? i can get all kinds of intercoolers. mostly volvo ones and saab. i do how ever have a cupple for t-bired super coop ones. and some misc. ones i just want some feed back to see if this worth doing. i hoping by doing this may save you guys some $$$$ so you will not have to buy the big aftermatket ones. they can cost $$$$ just want some feed back to see if this worth doing

i used aluminized 3" pipe. i think 4 feet cost me $30 at the muffuler shop. and doesn't rust so you don't have to worry about sucking rust in. looks just about like stainless.

i do not think there is enough of a differance. i know they are a bit more HP. but alos of people who do the swap still use the VG30ET upper plennum. for convinance of the MAF piping.

i think i may have a chance comming up to buy a IC off of 86 GRAND NATIONAL off of friend. can any one here give me some imput on these? how much psi can they handle? and are they really any better than my ford t-bird IC? they look a little bit bigger but not by much.

oh i forgot. all 6 of these ic's are for sale! they are gonna start hitting ebay today!

i havn't actually used the IC yet. but it's hooked up. i gotta finish the wiring and other misc. stuff on my truck tan i'm gonna try it. i had both inlet and out let mad to 3" for better flow. so i hope it work good. it seems better built than the IC's i just got. i kinda like the saab IC and the mitsubitishi IC. the ford prob ic looks pretty good too. would it benifit me if i was to connect two of them together? like the saab and the mitsubitishi? would it be better than 1 volvo ic? i think it takes up less space. and they both are realy thick.

i just aquired 6 intercoolers today. woundering if any one had any opinioins on them? 1 mitsubitishi eclipse/eagle talon IC 1 FORD probe IC 1 SAAB IC 3 VOLVO IC's whats your imput on these? how much HP are they good for and how much psi should they be good for? is any of these better than the ford T-bird IC that i'm using? if so why?

(I.E. wires, ecu, tranny, mounts, etc) and does anyone know if there has to be any remodling to the engin bay (cutting, dingin, etc) i think (but don't quote me on this) that your wiring harness from a N/A might fit a turbo. ask red october over at zcar.com. as far as everything else, i belive the pasangers side engine mount is fine where it is but drivers side will need to be moved foward. but besides that it pretty much just bolts in.

yeah i didn't plan on 20 psi any time soon. i got this one for $30 at a junk yard. it's really like new. some paint was chipped off it. so i cleaned up and re-painted it black. how much PSI wouls you say they are good for?

i know these are not real big. but they are well built and thick. i got one to use on my truck. i have both inlet and out let made to 3" to help the flow. i'm hoping this works well. would any one else have any in put on this?
