  1. Its just a small amount. I had drained the oil and then took off the pan, so and oil that hadnt drained completly is what is seeping past the rings.
  2. So recently I purchased a L28 block that supposevly was rebuilt 40K miles ago. I was working on it today and I had it on the engine stand upside down to take off the oil pan, I got distracted last night and left it upside down all night. Today I take off the oil pan and turn it on its side (still on stand) to drain some excess oil from under the crank and I notice in the cylinders there is a small amount of oil seeping past the pistons. I come back about half an hour later and there is more, Should I be worried. Do I need to replace the rings or is this normal? Thanks Richard
