  1. Yeah the engine is a vg30e by the look of it (z31 i believe) so it is likly that the rest of the drive train is also 300zx. If u could get it really cheap it might be worth it, but to be honest it looks very very second hand

  10. G'day mate WELCOME TO HYBRID Z! I personally dont know the answer to this question but this swap has been done many times on site and plenty of people should know the answer to your question. The guy that i think would know the answer to your question is blueovalz, he is very experianced and knows what his talking about
  11. dam that is a huge disapointment, i was really looking forward to seeing your developements. On the other hand u do have so many of these motors, and if the 240z is just lying around not doing anything i reckon you should give it a crack. if time, space and budget permits of corse.

  13. yeah that seems like a good way to go. Im building a 5L NA windsor and im also planning to go strait gas. I'm thinking of either using an impco 450 carb or a twin throttle boddie gas research carb (but that company is hard to get hold of). Are you planning on running a manual or auto, i hear that manuals have a problem with backfireing which isn't so bad for me because im running normally asperated, but if your running turbos this could cause a problem

  16. Where did u get all the mtors from? I know alot of guys running the high torque rb turbo engines through the r200 without a problem, what sort of power/tourque are u getting with these

  18. are you going to mount the oil all the way up front where the radiator is and then pump the oil there and back? Is this for a racing car?

  20. are the 302 and 351 mounting locations. For example if you had a 302 in your z, could you put a 351 in it with the same mounts?

  24. **** mate it's not that im to much of a tight *** to make them for a couple of people, it's just that I dont have anytime since the semester started. I'm happy to give any information about anything, and when i get round to it i'll post some pictures of the completed mounts inlucing the trany mount. The mounts aren't very hard to make mabey i should supply u guys with some of drawing of the important diemsions. At the moment im lucky to get an hour of work a week done on the datto so you will have to be patient for me to get round to doing this.
  25. I saw the 5.4L DOHC, 5.0L windsor and LS1 pretty much right next to each other at the Melb F1 GP and I still cant figure out why that 5.4L engine is so big, it even makes the LS1 look tiny. Who ever completes this swap first will get my undivided love and respect.
