Most small blocks will fit, BUT the real trick is to firstly decide on what kind of horsepower you want,so you can get the right Tranny for it. I think that if you want up to about 300 hp,a T-5 will do. Any more than that and you should consider a T-56. I will handle more torque.

hi ALL, i AM LOOKING FOR A RACK AND PINION UNIT FOR MY 81 280ZX. I am in the middle of a V8 conversion and the headers wont fit on the driver's side. Any ideas....? Pleeeeeeze ?

Hi. Looking to get $1,500 for complete engine,includes headers, 5 speed tranny,clutch,and air conditioning. The a/c comes complete with original lines,compressor etc.

Anyone here looking for a 5 speed tranny with a clutch out of a 1981 280zx? Cause I got one. It comes with a 390 gear. Also have a 280zx motor that was bored/stroked. N47 head,tripple webber carbs,and more. I want to sell it because I am putting a 400 sbc/T-56 tranny in that car.
