  1. Grumpy you always have great info and links to these type things. Oh yea you will need a truck also:)
  2. I would put it on craigslist, it's local and would reach a more interested crowd. I tried selling my tig welder on here and got two responses. I put it on my local craigslist and got 6 responses in the first day and sold it on the second. That is a great deal and I wish him luck selling it.
  3. Yes you need to engage the pin into one of the slots. This is how your e-brake operates, it turns the piston out mechanicly.
  4. I'm pretty sure there are no 4 lug hubs that accept the large splined z32tt axles. Mull I noticed that you are on the list for the cf bamf zg's. so did the steel flares not work out at all? Also what offset are the skyline wheels that you put on your car and how much did they stick out past the fender without flare? I'm also using the newer style irs although from a s13. I don't think it is as wide as yours. The only thing that sucks about using this rear is you can't use those deep a$$ rims like every one else.
  5. This car appears to have that exact setup. front and rear. http:/http://www.commonsnapper.com/newsite/top/feature/z30.html

  7. I'll try to post pics of mine later. I didn't have to modify the upper mounting points at all. I just used s14 struts and the original s30 upper mount. I'm going to use coilover's to get my ride height were I want it. The top of the struts lean in a little more than they do on the s14. I'm looking for a pillow ball mount with the same bolt spacing as the s30, I think this will be better suited for the more aggressive strut mount angle. by the way I used the s13 irs for my project. There are a few pictures in my album.
  8. I'm pretty sure the oil pan that he posted is the one that efi-diy on the inliners forum was working on. That guy had a lot of good pics on the forum. I haven't been there in awhile I know they changed a few things.
  9. Who are you guys getting rb30's from in the U.S. ? Looking to purchase one soon and having no luck finding them. Preferably on the east coast.
  10. I really need a set to ( in fiberglass of coarse). Just tell me were to send the cash.
  11. But the transsmision will only travel the same even if you cut off the top of the shifter. Everything that is still there will travel the same distance, except your hand. I guess this is why some people call them quick shifters. If you grab the bottom of a shift lever that is not cut your hand dosn't have to move as far but everything else travels the same.
  12. Seems to me that if you have a shifter with a pivot point somewhere in the middle of the rod you are still having to move the part bellow the pivot the same amount. After chopping it down the part above the pivot still has to move the same distance to make the shift. All this does is change the torque output of the lever. I think you would add length to the bottom to shorten the throw. But I do agree that shortening the top part would feel diffrent and in most cases better you just have to put more force into the shift useally not enough to matter. I believe the $200 shifter he is talking about probably shortens the throw by adding distance to the rod below the pivot and still allowing the upper part to have some length so you don't have to force the lever as much. But I could be wrong this is my understanding of the subject.
  13. chopping down your shifter dosn't shorten the throw.
  14. I hate being teased, I've thought of these flares all day. Put me on a list or something:smile: Are both the front and rear wider or just the rear?
  15. Thanks for the heads up. I'm looking at the rocker panels and rocker panel ends.
  16. I'm looking into buying some repair panels from Black Dragon. And wanted to know if they are of good quality? I remember hearing that pretty much all of the vendors sell the same sheet metal. Is one company's panels better than the other?
  17. I would also like more info on these.
  18. JTR doesn't make a mount kit for the ls1. But they do sale the headers that fit the BK kit. I always thought this was weird also.
