  1. Some visual perception of size intake radiator Primed New shoes ...they sort of fit
  2. I have not done any tuning as of yet. I do not know if two will be better than one, but I was hopingfor about a 50% decrease in minimum boost fromthe small turbo. Previously minimum boost from the small one was 7psi, I'm hoping for 4-5psi, and slightly better controll of the whole system. Also these wastegates have been modified for further valve lift, allowing it to run more as a bypass and less like a wastegate that merely cracks open.
  3. Yes, both 60mm wastegates are used to bypass the small turbo. twin 60mm gates on the small turbo, and only one 44mm to control the large one.
  4. I am on stock CAST 2JZ-GE pistons and rods. 2JZs (all of them) come from the factory with cast pistons. I have a lot more work ahead of me, but the car should be done in a week or less, and paint and body work will be done shortly after. Thanks for all the compliments.
  5. I'm the fabricator for Boost Logic, and this is our GT45-80 DBB and GT35R DBB compound turbo, twin 60mm and single 44mm wastegates. It's a stock engine, so I have to leave it at around 800whp, but on high octane fuel it should be capable of 1000+whp. The car weighs around 2600lbs. Still have another 2 days of mechanical work and fab, and another 2-3 weeks for paint and body.
  6. It's a tight fit, but I think it will all work out pretty well.
  7. hey man I talked to you as the meet was breaking up tonight. hit me up on facebook http://www.facebook.com/zajnet for pics from the Bullrun Rally finish line and I also want to see if I can get more "in the loop" so to speak b/c of when ♥♥♥♥ like what happens tonight happens. some dude in a camaro was like follow me i know where to go and we went behind some pep boys just south of burnet and everyone there seemed to know you

  8. Nice job. You shouldn't have too much trouble spooling that turbo. It's the equivalent to a GT42, and on a medium displacement engine it should work very well. How much power do you need to make?
  9. I think the hayabusa would pull me NA with a different rider. I figure I'm closer to 146 to 148 trap, and that bike went 152 with a different rider. I would love to re-run. I really like the bike. in a drag race the bike would waste me. That bike is fast. He didn't even use the nitrous.
  10. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/StreetFighter-Vs-Busa_681276.htm built 1397cc engine, built head, CF body, magnesium wheels, slammed, and strapped. This is not a stock hayabusa.
  11. I've been pretty busy after work the past few weeks. It's a compound turbo setup for a 2JZ-GE in my 1986 300ZX hardtop. It uses a GT35R/GT42R combo to spool quickly and make tremendous power. What you end up with is a lagless and super fast small engine.
  12. I love my Z31! S30s have terrible aerodynamics and suspension... My Z31 has a .29 CD and weighs 2740lbs. I make about 700whp on E85. 1986 Hardtop 2JZ31. Old setup New setup
  13. If it were a GTE, then I would agree with you, but the NA intake manifolds are total garbage. They flip back around and go over the valve covers, and look like butt.
  14. That's funny. The plenum looks exactly like mine, but I used a stock lower. The ports match the head very well, and have a lot of material to cut velocity stacks into, but the runner length is longer than even a stock GTE lower intake manifold. It took around 12 hours to build, and I used a BBK 75mm. I only have a 67mm turbo, so I would just lose drivability with a larger throttle body. end result
  15. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Roll-Racing12-Viper-Turbo_164205.htm A friend of the blue 03 cobra came up from S.A. with a fully built 06 GT to beat me... it didn't work out so well for him. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Roll-Racing13-Blown-06GT_166599.htm This civic went 11.3 @127. I was on pump gas and street tires. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Roll-Racing14-Turbo-Hatch_169099.htm More to come. I hope you all enjoy.
  16. I am using the NA supra auto, so my only torque converter option was a pro-torque unit (2800-3000rpm) I would like something higher, but it's primary purpose is a street car, and I'm still happy with it. It's lazy off the line without the anti-lag or nitrous, but I have both of those to lean back on at the track.
  17. I'd like to see a 9.xxx @13X.XXmph, but I doubt I can do that on boost alone. I'm guessing I'll see a mid/low 10 at 28psi. In the end all I need is a fun street/strip car. I don't need creature comforts, I don't need a pretty car, I don't need to break any records, I just need a 9.
  18. If the trans temp gauge reads hot I'll wrap it, but I think the airflow under the car should help with keeping the trans cool, and at a stop, the exhaust really isn't terribly hot. If you want 900 to the flywheel, a T71 will do that just fine. The 6 speed guys are making 800 to the wheels with a 71mm, and that puts you right at the limit of the stock bottom end. If you build the engine, go with a GT42-76 or 78. You could probably dip into the 8's with that turbo and a little spray.
  19. That's a pretty wild Z you have there... I'd love to see what the 2JZ looks like in there. Was it SBC powered before? I see some chevy exhaust gaskets on the floor. I don't have a speedo. This is a weekend warrior car, so I figured I didn't really need it. What size turbos do you typically use on the pro street 2JZs, and are they 3.0 or 3.4L?
  20. Exhaust is done, shifter linkage and housing is done, wiring is 90% complete, there is not much left. I still have to modify the center arm rest to fit the supra shifter, run some transmission cooler lines, do a bit more wiring, and get a driveshaft made... but that's pretty much it. 4 inch exhaust is stupid huge.
  21. The IS300 engine is a VVT-i 2JZ, which does have weaker pistons/rods. The older non VVT-i engines are much stronger.
  22. Actually, the internals of the GE and GTE arequally as strong (and both use cast pistons). The GE head has smaller intake ports and larger exhaust ports (opposite of what you need for a turbo setup) so they typically don't make as much power as the GTE, but for $300 I couldn't say no to the GE. I have a Boostlogic NA-T kit, and it fits beautifully. I had to slightly modify the downpipe and fab intercooler pipes, but everything else was bolt-on. I'm using a Boostlogic built toyota auto, T67 DBB, AEM EMS, 75 shot of N2O, the engine is stock other than a 2.5mm head gasket and ARP head studs, and the Z is a very rare hardtop. I would like to see a 9.9xx @135+mph on spray and somewhere in the mid 10s at 128ish on C16. I get the transmission back tomorrow, so it should be running by this weekend. Having access to all of boostlogic's and performance motorsports' tools, lifts, and fabrication equipment has been a blessing. I started the project less than a month ago, and I have been stuck for two weeks waiting on the transmission. I have a few wiring odds and ends, a driveshaft has to be made, exhaust system, transmission lines, and a few minor tasks left to do. If I would have had all the parts from the begining, I think I could have done it from start to finish in 28 days, all while working my normal job 10-6 M-F.
  23. This should catch some unsuspecting vipers off guard
