  1. Rather sell them together but pics are in mu post in the classifieds.

  2. correct that no bushings jus got them today but still looking for: 280z rear stub axles(27 spline) with flange full coilovers ( sleeves) camber plates (preferably weld in although will consider bolt in also ) zg fender flares a set of rear lower control arms (a arm style)
  3. So i sourced out a set of 280z stub axles and flanges. Next on the list is finding a flange to mate up to the companion flange on the wheel hub. What did you end up using nizzan to make them work?
  4. hi everyone im looking for a set of 280z rear stub axles(27 spline), full coilovers, camber plates (preferably weld in although will consider bolt in also ), zg fender flares, full poly bushings, and a set of rear lower control arms thanks for looking!!
  5. i agree also. kinda pricey but i'd rather do it right the first time around.. if anyone has a set i can take em off your hands
  6. i figured it out lol i see how the swap works all nizzan used was a stub axle flange from a 240z then welded to the subi cv(part where it splines to the wheel hub). did he cut the stub off hmmm..
  7. I looked into john coffey's stub axles but i prefer to go with using the custom shaft with the 280z cv joints and stub axle hub. Knowing the year would help i think it would be 75-78? By he i meant Nizzan. If i were to spend that much on stub axles i might as well go with wolf creeks porsche cv upgrade:blink:
  8. ive also been meaning to make this same setup all i need to kno is what year did he use for the 280z axles? the same 27spline with the cv joint?
  9. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/73182-subaru-sti-r180-differential-and-axle-conversion-revised/page__p__696189__hl__%2Bsubaru+%2Bdiff+%2B__fromsearch__1#entry696189 Im gonna shoot for this type of setup so all i would need would be: Sti axels(outer shaft to diff with cv) custom inner shaft with the right spline count 280z stub axle flange 280z flange am i missing anything ?
  10. thanks for the helpful input. I believe they use the porsche 930 boots and cv flanges. i think the subi cv swap will suffice.
  11. what do you guys think about this diff mount? ( with the gm poly bushing) Any better than ron tylers design? http://www.technoversions.com/DiffMountHome.html
  12. yup ^ just dont get it too hot..high heat= warping: no bueno my friend!
  13. the issue is will there be any binding issues with either of the swaps? (lower stance) no drag racing more of tracking..
  14. not treating the metal after soda blasting can leave residue within the seams that can cause more rust issues down the line. I would suggest if you're goin down this route is to neutralize the residue left as much as you can. Imo i would do dry ice blasting but...who can find the right equipment?
  15. True im just anxious to see it on all 4 wheels again! im using a buddys garage right now to store it so time is of the essence.
  16. I was initially although a buddy of mine recommended a subi r180 as apposed to a r200. Due to the fact they are strong enough to handle some good numbers as well. I was worried the half shafts wont be able to handle some lowered angles as well as hold up to an ls swap..I figured a cv convo would so i thought some first hand experience would help. Isnt the u joints as well as the stub axles on the hub prone to snapping?
  17. fporsche cv upgrade :/

  18. 240z 240z 240z

  19. It was a calif car the only problem was that it was in the city of pacifica(right by the beach)
  20. I agree....i made sure the welds/metal was thick enough and so far its held up after a year!! right now im in the process of finding a roll cage kit that i can weld in somewhere around 10 point with some modifications of course so i can get in and out of the car easily. Any ideas fellas? Nothin too expensive either.. And some more pics will come with progress!!
  21. lol found one on ebay for $299 shipping was like $150
  22. Hey guys i need some clarification about the porsche cv swap. What can i use that will adapt to the diff output flange that will allow me to bolt up the cv's? I saw what wolf creek racing offers but its just too expensive for the porsche cv upgrade kit. Is there any alternative that i can do for this swap to work? I would rather not shell out $250 for each side stub axle...but if i had to would i need it to work with the subi diff? Are they strong enough to work with high torque applications(400+)? Btw im using a subi diff out of a 2004 wsx sti. So the spline count is 27 if that helps. Here is what im trying to go for although as you can see in one of the pictures there is 6 bolts that bolt up the flange from the diff to the cv. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php//topic/41590-prosche-930-cv-adapters-completed/page__p__387042__hl__930%20cv__fromsearch__1 As for the wheel hub side it looks like what he did was weld up the studs that bolts to the flange assembly.
