Are the truck engines worth messing with? Tried a search Know one seemed to talk about them I've seen a few sold at a good price, and wondered if they'd be O.K. In a Z? They are based on the LS1 aren't they? Iron block, but what else is changed? Good street engine?

Hey dot, welcome! I sent you an E-mail two days ago about some info on your swap. I've got my Jag v12 ready and waiting for my hybrid bastard. (72Z, 62 250 GTO, Jag drive train, and American Hotrodding) I'd love to get some tips from someone that's be there.

Trevor, I'd say ALFA http://www.alfaclub.org/index.htm
Check out the grills on some of them, they always had that little heart shape in the middle.

Thanks Sumo!!

Speaking of Chinese, have you got any good recipes for Chinese food? Now that I'm Mr. Mom I need to improve my cooking skills. Just can't get that taste right! Kids call my sauces "spuge" when it cools, you can pick it up in one peice like cured putty.

Thanks a lot RacerX knew you'd come through.

Does anyone have a picture of the rear end of that car? I love the sides, I've seen the front, but gotta see what rear end treatment he gave it. Who's car is it?

Got a car that was stripped, but someone got carried away with a grinder. Have some low spots in the lead seams. Does it need to be treated with something, or can you put plastic filler right on the lead? Thanks guys.

Hey Stony, Can you get that 5 peice G-nose overseas? What does it cost in USA dollars?

Hey I've got a set of those J.C.Whitney side pipes, new in the box. For sale, $100.00 Plus shipping. But I'm must tell you, I wouldn't use them on a V8. 3 inches outside, about 1 3/4 inside. They came with a bunch of parts when I bought one of my Z's. Not a high flow muffler.

Hey how bout teaching photo shop. I partied to much in the sixties and my brain cell just can't seem to learn anything any more. I've got it and tried a couple times to teach myself, but the brain cell went out hunting a friend. Do you know of any web sites that could help? Thanks.

Hey your the test pilot.(LOL) Take lots of pics. What was the quality of the E-Bay G-nose? I thought about one my self. Keep us updated and I'm sure someone out there can help. Good luck!
Try posting this in paint and body.

Thanks guys, I get ideas Friday nite and this is the best place to check them out. I'll have to go to my local corner metal store and get a cost per ft. vs. weight per ft. vs strength per ft. and compare them. Thanks again.

After using a friends car trailer about 6 times this year, and a lot last year I've decided to build my own. They make them with 3" channel iron. Would there be any advanage to using a 2x3 tubing instead? Any idea's on making it lighter but stronger. I've got blueprints, just wondered.
Thanks

Check out Bill Miller Alum Rods, the prices on the site are a little high. I've seen them thru dealers about $200.00 cheaper.

Hey Zvette, when I brought mine home, I tied mine up with a rope about the size of clothesline.I ran two runs around, one in front of the wheel, one behind. Then I ran two raps from front to rear so when I was done it looked like a tic tac toe game on the hood. Then I used a lot of duct tape to hold the rope in place because of all the taper in the hood. It won't stay tight if you don't tape it. Did about the same to the rear. Tape is a pain to clean off but how long did you wait for the kit? When you think you've got it tight, tie it up some more. Good luck on your trip. oh yea Great deal

Thanks Speed for the new background on my computer. I took off one of your other pictures.

Guess I'll have to due a little butt kissing. I will be going up to see Mark Smith here in the near future. I've been contracted to build a ffr by a friend and I've got to pick the kit up soon. Retrived the donor yesterday from over top the mine where the nine miners were trapped.
Maybe Mark will let me see it. Love to know the wheelbase of his car,and the history of what it really is.
Should be moving my GTO back in this coming week. I'll be starting the frame. Oh yea, got my six webers.

Thanks guys. I checked out the LS1 forums that DRK brought up. Looks like the bell housing bolt pattern is the same as the SBC, so the trans will swap too! The 6.0 might be the way to go.
