  1. Looking for two of these armrest clips in good condition. PM me.
  2. Thanks. I got it bolted up, looks good but its touching the heat shield under the intake manifold. Is it fine for them to be slightly touching? I dont want to take the manifold off again but I will if its a problem. I havent started it yet.
  3. I had a manifold exhaust leak so while I had it torn down I decided to get a coated 6-1 header from MSA. I was looking for some tips to install it correctly. So far Ive Installed new studs with anti-sieze and cleaned the mating surfaces until shiny with a Scotchbrite. Some questions I have are should I use any copper RTV anywhere with the gasket? Is the gasket MSA provided and the 6 spacers good enough to ensure no leaks? Their spacers are the right size, no mods needed? The gasket has a flat side and a curvier side, does the flat side go against the head? Suggested torque for the nuts with a header? I should probably leave the intake heatshield on correct? Anything else I need to do? Should I even use the header? I could still put the stock manifold back on. I like the look of the header and dont mind any extra noise but Im going to lower the car soon and dont want the header hanging too low. If its not slammed will it even be an issue? Thanks
  4. What is the proper bolt setup for the fiberglass bumpers? It has the type of brackets pictured. I can get a bolt and washer through but there is no way to fit a wrench or socket to hold it from spinning while tightening it to the mount.
  5. Want to buy Datsun 240Z seats in near perfect condition. Re-done/Recovered is fine. Las Vegas/Utah area. PM me.
  6. Its tough but it wont hurt your knuckles. The pebble texture almost matches the OEM pebble texture. The cap on the can is pretty accurate of what the texture feels like.
  7. This is part of my '77 280Z refurnish and turbo motor swap. I bought the car in Oregon and brought it to So. Utah. One thing I just finished was the dash restoration. When I got the car it had the plastic dash cap glued on it. When I peeled it off it was completely cracked underneath. Well, it took tons of time but it turned out better than I would have ever thought. This is my first time doing a dash and I was very happy with the results. This is the most recent pic of the car, taken a couple months ago - Peeled of the dash cap to see what was underneath. I almost gave up immediately - I started picking at the rotten foam - Using a Dremel I beveled out all the cracks flush. This is the most important step. Some of them I had to bevel out several inches. Any crack I could pick material out of I dremeled out. At the end of all the small cracks I drilled a circle so they wouldnt spread. Stupidly I didnt get any pictures of the beveling. I then had to fill the cracks. First I tried the expanding plumbing foam but it sucked so I dug it back out. Then I tried this NAPA bumper repair kit. NAPA doesnt make this anymore but theres a guy on ebay selling it. I ordered two kits but only used a little of the second one. It says its flexible but it dried very hard - This is what it starts to look like after sanding on it - I had to sand it down and feather it using a sanding block and my fingers. It was a pain to sand and took me several days. I used 80 grit to knock it down then 100 for most of it shaping the lines and contours. After I finally had it contoured and sanded smooth I left it in the 90 degree sun for a couple days to see if the material would change shape but it didnt budge. So then I sanded the entire dash with 200 grit, wiped it down with wax and grease remover and then taped it off. I used Duplicolor truck bed armor from Autozone for the coating. It dried tough and has a nice pebble texture to it. I first bought Rustoleum truck bed coating from Walmart but didnt like the way it sprayed out on a test panel. I used a full can of the Duplicolor, 4 coats - Final - Ive had it out in the 100 degree sun for the past few days, so far so good. And the guages it will be getting, Speedhut Revolution series -
  8. Looking for a set of AZC 280Z sport springs in great shape. PM or email - revere77@hotmail.com
  9. That looks good. Where did you get your hose and what size? I have the same size Speedhuts as you. They dont move around at all with that setup?
  10. I have a '77 280Z Im lowering about 1.5"with AZC springs and 240Z insulators. Id like at least a little bit of negative camber but I wont be installing camber plates. Are these camber kits even worth getting? - http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/PSDC07 If they do anything, how much camber will they give front/rear? Thanks
  11. I already have a complete 280ZX donor car for the disc setup and I dont want to work on drum brakes. Those are the only reasons I was going to switch. Are the 280ZX rear discs at least equal to the stock drums on performance or are they a downgrade?
  12. I have a '77 280Z. Im going to keep the stock front brakes but replace the rear drums for '83 ZX discs. What would be the best size master cylinder for me? I already bought the 1" Wilwood one but after doing more reading it sounds like it might be overkill. Should I keep it, sell it and get a 15/16 or will the stock 7/8 be plenty? Thanks
  13. The ST 240Z 1" front bar is already 5mm larger than the stock 280Z bar.
  14. Does the ST 52095 240 kit bolt directly up to a 280 with no modification/fabrication?
  15. Looking for a set of '81-84 Maxima rear brackets for a brake swap. PM me or email - revere77@hotmail.com Like these -
  16. Can someone please identify what brake kit this is? I have the Silvermine motors 4 piston big brake kit for the front, would this be a good match for it on the rear or should I keep the stock drums? Thanks http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/pts/3527521981.html
  17. Looking for a set of 280Z seat rails/brackets that will fit a '77. In good shape. PM me or email - revere77@hotmail.com
