Im looking for a set of the white, round/clover shaped headlight wire connectors from a 280Z. Inside they have 3 pins and empty hole. Theres one below the intake AFM and one next to the alternator. I need both of the complete connectors, male and female sides, clipped out with a couple inches of wire on each side. PM or email - revere77@hotmail.com

I would prefer the 280 hood, the vents do move some hot air out. Itll look good and is better than a rusty original hood.

Left key on overnight. What did I burn up?
BitchinZ replied to BitchinZ's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
It has spark now but not getting fuel. The rotor had threw off the metal ground piece, found it sitting there in the dist. Replaced it and now has white spark. Ballast resistor tested at 1.6 ohms. Its not pumping fuel. I understand that the fuel pump only comes on when starting, so I think leaving the key in the ON position wouldnt burn it up. Tomorrow Im going to see it I can hear the pump with the starter wire disconnected or go under there and see if its getting power with the multimeter. If the pump is working Ill look into the relay above the hood latch. After that Im not sure what Ill check next. -
Looking for a good condition ballast resistor from a 77 280Z. It slides off of the ignition coil bracket. PM me.

Does the 280Z have points? Can they be cleaned, can you replace just the points themselves? -

Checked and it has no spark. Battery is good, all fuses are good. Tired a different coil and same thing. I dont know if it has pertronix or not. Ill look into that and the ballast resistor. -

Hmm. It ran fine yesterday, after I did that it wont start today. -
Edit - It was the fuel pump. Replaced it and it starts. I have a 77 280Z. I was testing different LED bulbs last night and like an idiot left the key in the ON position overnight. I recharged the battery and the car cranks fine but wont fire. What did I burn up? What should I try replacing first, the ignition coil maybe, or something else?

Pic Request: Your S30 on XXR 530
BitchinZ replied to Wheelman13's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Theyll fit but might look funny with flares. With flares you want a negative offset to fill them out. -
I thought about reinforcing one or two areas with wood screws with the heads cut off but I didnt. If your cracks are wider than mine were you might try something like that. NgoZ no problem post away, these threads are for disscusions.

Yes bevel everycrack down and out so its a little lower than the good areas around it, so when you fill it and sand it down its all even. Mine looked like Vs but curved way out at the tops. I took out bad foam but it didnt go very deep until the foam changed color into good foam. If there are any pinholes left in the bumper repair after you sand it down, fill them again or else they will show up when you spray the bed liner on. The bed liner wont fill them. After all your sanding is done wipe the whole thing down with Wax and grease remover before spraying the liner on. The dash still looks like when I finished it, still holding up fine. I got a tech fabric dash cover(looks better than the carpet ones) off of ebay to put on the top, just to keep heat off of it.

Anyone Running XXR 527 16x8.25 +0 260Z
BitchinZ replied to jd4moto's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/97507-xxr-527/page-1 They fit perfectly and are good quality for what they cost. They look good lowered with a 205 tire slightly stretched. I had them in bronze. Get them from nlmotoring. The 530 also looks good. -
Need opinions on original crack free dash car

Get a product called Aerospace 303 and soak it good as soon as you get to Portland and then use it every other week. It restores, protects and has UV blocker in it. Get it at a good auto or boat store. Use the dash pad and tint your windows with a good metallic or ceramic tint. 35% sides and 50% on the entire front windshield is what I do on all my cars. Cops here never notice. -
I have a pair of used 280Z door weatherstrips. They have a some holes along the bottoms but decent otherwise. $45 shipped for both.
