I just bought this car locally for $1300. -
I am getting ready to take the engine out of my '82 280zx parts car, and rebuild it. I am taking the F-54 block, and putting the N-47 head on it out of my origional motor from my '79 280zx. I am changing from FI to triple weber 40's. Will the gasket kit for the '79 work , or will I have to get an intake gasket from an older carburated model? Are there any other gaskets I'll need to make this setup work? Which head gasket would you recommend? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have to check around to see how much the parts will be. Then I'll decide which engine I want to use. I'm kind of leaning towards the 3.0, but I'll have to do some research.

I am planning a triple weber swap in my 79 zx. Looks good. -
I am buying a 1995 nissan 4x4 hardbody truck off of a guy next to where I work. The motor is a 2.4L and it looks like it needs rebuilt. A friend of mine has about an 85 200sx, with a 3.0L v6 that I can get cheap. What modifications would I have to do to make this work in the truck? I also have a 95 240sx that I could use the motor out of. Which motor would be better to use?

Thats the winner of the bikini contest at the import show at harrisburg(carlisle) PA. Lots of women at that show! Couldn't get her to lay across the hood, though, or the back seat,for that matter. -
I found a 1995 hardbody truck next to where I work that has the motor out that I could buy cheap. Another option I have would be to take the KA24de motor out of my 95 240sx, and put it in this truck. I'm planning a SR20DET swap in it, so this might be a good canidate , too. What would you guys recommend?

I was wondering if it would be possible to put a L-28 out of a 280zx into a Nissan or Datsun truck. Would this engine fit in the bay? What fab work would need to be done? Would it work with 4-wheel drive, or would it have to be 4x2? I have two parts cars with engines under 100,000 miles, but the bodys are rusted out. I thought this would be a great motor for a small truck.
