  3. Yeah, I mean as far as the swap and some rust repair that we already talked about. I have a guy that paints all my cars that I'll have do all aesthetic stuff.
  4. In a perfect world I would have everything done at one place becuase I work so much that its kind of last min. if I get to go back home or if im staying up north. I havent been home in a month and I have a lot of things that I need to pick up from people that I've been promising them I would buy lol. Beta motorsports (johnC) told me that he could cover all aspects of my restoration and thats a huge plus in my book where as Alex emailed me this morning saying he only offeres the swap.
  5. I emailed Alex at vildini and he he hasn't got back to me in 2 days the same thing with McKinney. We'll see if they gets in touch with me.
  6. The time has come to repair the roof on my 73 240z. Im willing to pay a little extra for a roof skin in great shape. Shoot me some offers! I have cash in hand.
  7. Sorry I've been using the browser on my cell so I cant see any of your signatures but now that I finally have a spare second away from the trenches Im on my computer lol. Thanks for all the help guys! Temecula would be awesome.. I have a industrial/performance fastener and tool store right off Felix Valdez in Temecula called Top-Line so that would make life a lot easier.
  8. Awesome! Thanks so much. John pm your info so that I can look into your shop.
  9. THANKS! I missed both of these shops in my searches.
  10. Hey Guys/Gals, I hope this is in the right area  I've owned my Datsun for a few months now. I had every intention in the world to take the project on by myself but alas work has got so busy that I cant find the time to work on my car and its killing me knowing that its just sitting there with a small mountain of parts that I have ordered for it it since I got it. My question is this, is there a reputable shop in the SoCal area that I can take the car to get the restoration under way? Im looking for somebody who car do metal work as well as motor work (RB25 Swap to be exact). I searched google and I searched hybridz but I cant really seem to find what im looking for. An recommendation would be awesome! If you personally used the shop you suggest what was your final grade? If I need to take the car to multiple places to get the different phases of the build finished or at least to a point that I can take over thats more then fine Im really just looking to be pointed in the right direction because I really haven't come up with anything on my own. Thanks!
  11. Im in need of a new hatch for my 240z. Orange if possible. Im looking for something with no dents or bondo and nothing more then surface rust. I'll be in town this weekend and I have cash in hand! Also willing to pay for shipping if the price is right. Thanks in advance.
  12. Well i picked up a new mechanical and electric fuel pump. Im going to install both just because I bet they're both original I guess it wouldn't hurt to put some new clean running parts in my old rust bucket lol. I'll have an update soon and probably a plethora of new questions after wearing out the search feature first of course lol.
  13. Hey everybody, I just picked up my 73 240z last weekend and I'm having a really hard time starting it and when it does start keeping it running. The previous owner said it has two pumps a mechanical one on the motor and an electrical one in the general vicinity of the fuel tank that he had disconnected (reasons unknown). The motor will fire really strong at first then slowly die out from a lack of fuel. I have deduced that the electric unit is to prime the carbs and the mechanical unit continues the flow after that. My question is how integral is it that the electrical unit be installed? I've been researching all week and I really can't find a straight answer. What do you guys think? thanks in advance.. Pasquale.
  14. Sorry no pictures tonight I pretty much flubbed every picture I took when I got home from work lol. Do you think that technique would work if the roof isnt evenly dented? It looks like those kids werent walking in the same place on the roof every time.
  15. Im about to take off from work so I'll have those picks and you guys can tell me what you think.
  16. Yeah I believe thats what the dent remover is going to do. I just think that there are spots on the roof that are beyond simple repair. I would probably do kart-wheels if told otherwise though lol!
  17. Hey Guys, I just picked up my first 240z last weekend. The car is in amazing shape for its age (it's a '73) but the roof is pretty dented due to the previous owners grandchildren running up the hood and onto the roof. Im going to call a dent remover and see what he can do for the roof skin but ultimately I think that at least portions of the roof are going to need to be cut out and patched. I've been doing a lot of research and I see that a lot of people just change out the skin but all of the threads seem to just end with no real finished product or answers as to how the project went. I was wondering if I could get some point of views and/or advice as to what the best way to change the roof skin would be. Ive seen it done a bunch of different ways but there is a better way for each car you just have to ask the right people. Thanks in advance! I'll post pictures of the roof later tonight.
  18. Ive seen a few of these go on Barret Jackson.
  19. Hey Im really good friends with the marketing directer at XXR would you mind if I send him these pics to put them on the site? Let me know!
