  1. Hey MikeJTR, am in Australia doing a 350chev conversion on a 260Z 2+2 74. I have your book, its great but will mounting the engine to the left side upset the tailshaft alignment to much? Was thinking of putting the motor central in the engine bay, just need to get the right block huggers to fit. Ta, PeteW.
  2. Very nice, any chance of having a look? I live in Wangaratta and am coming down to Melb this weekend. Am putting a 350sbc in my 260Z2+2 and any ideas i can get would be great. i have the JTR manual but its always good to see what others have done.
  3. Could I possibly get a copy of this as well, am having trouble with the diagrams i have. The Aussie 260Z i have has different color wires than in the manual, plus it doesn't have any of the safety switches. The JTR manual is different again to the wiring in my early 74 260Z 2+2. Is the Aussie model different, this is pissing me off !! My email is nicedat@optusnet.com.au
  4. The standard Z calipers are two piston, you need less effort to push two pistons than four, so this would give more power to the rear. You need to adjust the brake balance for less power to the rear. I think this is correct.
  5. would be great if you could do some pics for me, what tailshaft you using?
  6. also check out some of the Aussie sites, might be cheaper with the exchange rate. http://www.zspares.com http://www.allzparts.com.au/Home%20Page.html http://www.sportsclassic.com.au/z.asp http://www.viczcar.com/ http://www.thezgarage.com/
  7. Yeah think i will go with the supra 5 speed conversion, dont really want an auto. Thanks guys. Pete
  8. this might be a silly question but what is a 200-4r? thanks for the info and if you can get those other photos that would be great.
  9. thanks for all the help guys, if anyone has any more info however small it would be much appreciated.
  10. Have you got any pics of your install and home made mounts? How'd you go with the throttle cable, did you make it or buy something? Thanks Pete
  11. Hey guys and girls , looking for some info from Aussies that have installed chevs into Z's. What throttle cable did you use and where from, also am having trouble getting the chev engine mounts? Any other suggestions would be great! Yes i have the JTR book but wasn't sure if some bits would fit due to Right hand drive? Also wondering if you used JTR drive shaft adapter flange or something else? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks Pete. P.S. I love this site !
  12. Thanks guys for the help, can't wait to start this project. Am going to check out the Vic Z club day in Melb this Sunday, might get some more info there.
  13. Hey guys and girls it's Pete from Australia just loving this forum and all the information sharing. I know there has been alot of discussion on strut sectioning and coilovers but I am looking for Aussies that have done this and where in Australia they may have sourced the parts from? Any help? Thanks Pete.
