Tried motorsports, there kit will not fit a 260z, only 240z & 280zs. thanks for the help, I think I am going to try the vintage air kit when i get my z back home. Thanks to all.

I looked at their website and didn't see anything listed. I will give them a call later today and see if they have anything available. What kind of mods did you have to do to mount the unit ? does it still use the original heater/defroster ? Thanks.

Just wondering, what make or type of a/c under dash units are you using ? i have a early 260z without a/c and the wife wants me to put it in. ( I live in humid, hot Georgia ) thanks to all.

I talked to them when I was installing my mount. they said you can either grind off some of the plastic from the mount, or shim it away from the diff. ( that is what I did ) I had no problem using shims,as you want the mount to conform to the top of the diff. I hope this helps you.

I used to work for a speed shop in the 70's and early 80's. We sold a brand of wheels just like yours. I beleave they were made by a company called " Blue line " or "Blue streak " They were a very good wheel at the time. When I first got my 260z, I tried to find a set at The Pomona and Long Beach swap meet. I have since moved to Georgia and found an original set of 14x6 dish mags that are now on my Z. It has been been awhile since I looked at my car, But with the R/T or technoversions front mount, you don't need to use the stock front mount as long as you get their urethane top mount. It bolts to the custom mount and to the diff. allowing the diff. to dolt to the m/bar and allows for the better axle shaft angles. I hope that this helps you to get your car back together soon. Are you are talking about the arrestor strap that goes over the front of the diff. If so the strap will not fit over the R200 as it is larger in diamanter than the R180. You might look into a Ron Tyler or a Technoversions front mount. They both work very well, And are easy to install. I have one in my early 260z, and it works great. ( http://www.technoversions.com/index.html ) The best way to mount it is to also get the top mount, and eliminate the factory lower mount. Check out his web site and look at his product. You won't be sorry.

check with summit racing equipment. if you have the 89 to 95 vented rotor calipers, they list 3 different compounds from hawk performance brakes. pn# hb315f669, hb315z669,and hb315y669. most cost around $69.00 a set, and they have most of them. sorry, but they don't list anything for the non vented calipers.

just got an e-mail from gayle @ bre. doesn't appear to be a problem using them, but they say just follow the angle of the windshield pillar. thanks to all who have responded.

No not building a clone, just a nice v8 powered street car. I have always liked the BRE cars since seeing them in the 70's.

I am not looking for an exact measurement, I just want to put some stripes on my fenders, And if you look at the new dodge challengers they have a small version of the stripes on the front fenders, and also in their web site when you look at options ! If this is going to be a problem for someone, I will just put on some early gt350mustang stripes down the center. Thanks to all.

Does anybody have any templates or measurements to duplicate the front fender stripes that BRE racing used on the 240z race cars ? I have tried to contact BRE directly, but haven't heard back from them. I am ready to paint my 260z, and would like to put the stripes on it.
