Well I'm in the most shitty position ever. I own 4 z's. 3 z31's and 1 260z. I was renting a home and the home got repo'd about 2 weeks ago. The owner had been pocketing my $ and had fell behind over 9k. I had found out at 3pm on a friday and that I had to vacate the house by 8am the next day. (I'm already taking actions to get my $ back and what not) I spent every penny I had to move 2 towns over to my aunts. My z's are at my moms house which is only 9 streets away from where I'm staying. But here is the problem. The city has just passed a law today that any vehicle without 1 or all tags, registration, and inspection are considered junk. Along with if the vehicle is missing any body panels it is considered junk. The city is giving 30 days to remove/update all vehicles. If its not done you will be ticketed. Then if they continue to be "junk" they will be impounded and you will be ticketed. I'm in the middle of saving $ to make my move to San Antonio. I also have a baby on the way. My girl friend has already left to San Antonio to start her new job and save. So now I have all this on my hands. I really don't want to get rid of them all. I live in a town where its basically 90% military and all the cheaper storage units have been taken. All that's left is the 79$ 10 x 10 ones. I already have a 280$ storage fee I pay for all my stuff. So I'm looking for ideas.

Stay away from ebay cheapo turbos they are a ticking time bombs. One of my friends bought a ebay turbo. When he got it we took it to a local turbo shop. It was way out of balance, and the seals inside were installed incorrectly. They told him he may want to get it rebalanced and rebuilt. He ended up spending more to make the ebay cheapo worth while than he would have buying the real turbo from the beginning. His lasted/lasts(he has sold the car) So you can use them with no problems as long as you just get it rebuilt/rebalanced. But he wishes he did it right the first time and bought the real deal. My 302 powered 260z ran 12.84 with shitty exhaust & carb. It had a performer intake manifold thats the only good thing it had.

I have an 85t that is in pretty good condition. I was planning on selling it to someone locally but I'm unsure. This person the sale involves is claiming to buy it for themselves but is really buying for someone else. The person that it would end up with it does not even a drivers license, have had 2 cars repo'd under their moms name and has wrecked every car they have owned. I need the money for a project in one hand. In the other that z would be doomed. What would you do would you just sell it or just keep it? Please cast your vote and if its other explain. Just post your opinions good or bad.

If you dont mind me askin why ditch the vg30e or the vg30et you have? As far as swaps go there is no kits for the z31. Unless you chose to go rb and get lucky enough to find all the parts from a 200zr to have a true "bolt in" swap. But any swap is possible as long as you can make you own x member etc. but if you dont have a welder then i would stick with the vg. A shop will take you to the cleaners to put a 302 in. but if $ is no object then do what makes you happy.

yeah the lsd is still in it. he just took the suspension and rims. i didnt care for the rims but i wanted the suspension.

Well here go the pics of it after i had taken it all apart to check on the rust status. I discovered nothin but some surface rust so thats good. Now dirt on the other hand is another story. There is some still in the pics so :-?. I kno it has a ford engine and is auto . I hate ford but I could not pass a high 12sec s30 for 800$. You cant beat that with a stick. Im talkin to the guy i got it from to get the timeslips so he is looking for them as we speak. The only downside is he placed the stock suspension and jy wheels on it before he sold me it . This car had the ugliest exhaust,carb, and some scary belts so i tossed them. I have ordered replacements. Let me know what you guys think. Oh and yes i have seen this car do runs. well i bought a 74 datsun with a rebuilt 5.0L 302 V8 mods are highflowheads, cams, valve covers, and intake manifold (all edelbrock parts) a pumpkin/lsd out a 88t z31. the car has no rust at all. so now i own a 74 s30, 86t z31, 87 z31, 88z31, 01 altima. i will post pics when its daytime.

So I have decided to make my project thread. It al started when I was on my way to the store and saw my very first Z31. I figured way not stop by and check it out on my way back. My mother and I get out, taking a closer look and there wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the car. I asked the dealer ship owner how much for it and he told me 3500$. He also informed me he was the original owner. So I asked my mom if I could sell my very first car, which was a 71 nova. She told me if I really wanted to I could since I paid for it. It sold in 3 weeks for 3000$. I went to buy the Z and it was gone. That’s when the owner came out and told me he had sold it. 7 weeks later I went to New York and Massachusetts to visit my family for Christmas and new years. We arrive back to Texas and drive home to see that same red Z that I fell in love with. All I could think was who is the lucky bastard that got the car I wanted. I turned to my mom and asked if she knew. She says “I didn’t buy it so I don’t knowâ€. Disappointedly continuing to my room to discover a key hanging from my door knob. I cut the key off my door to take it to my mom and she says “go around and try it on thingsâ€. I try it in all the doors in the house, nothing. So I go outside try her car still nothing. Then try the Z. I place the key in and turn it. To my surprise it opens it. So I jump in. Then my mom reviels she bought it and placed it in storage. She offers me it for 1500$. I couldn’t refuse it. I was 15 when I bought my first Z. It was red N/A 87 with black interior. As time went on I bought parts here and there to try to make it fast. I searched online the I stumble along Jason’s’ page. From there I find z31performance, 88hybrid, z31 and hybridz. On some of these sites I ask about becoming fast with a N/A. All I got in response was laughs and sell me your car, etc. From there on I chose to not post anymore to keep from getting flamed/ piss anyone off. I Realize now that it was a dumb question. The forums have done nothing but HELP. If it wasn’t for the forums I would have learned anything of the Z31 or Z’s in general. I now own 3 Z31s. Red 86T with black interior auto. well days even weeks have passed since i had started my sub box. i kno what all you guys are thinking (what took him so long) well i work full time and i'm a manager so i dont really have that much time on my hands. but today was my only day off this week and i finally finished my box except for paint. i also made kick panels for the bottem pert of the doors, but those are not done yet. well here is alot of pics that i have taken over the entire process and sorry if i put too many. my first layer of bondo after sanding the coat of bondo/bondoglass one of the the kick panels for the lower part of the doors another pic of one of the kick panels a pic of it in the car after all of the sanding completed another one and another one test fitting this is how it will look in the car(it will be gloss black with matching kick panels...oh did you notice the nissan symbol 8) another pic and another one(crappy cause i began to fall) and the last one well let me kno what all you guys think. thanx!!!! yeah i was goin to have them face the back but my cusco strut tower bar would have been in the way if (if i had them where i planned), plus i want to be able to just toss what ever in the back. oh on the subs they are mtx thunder 5500's.i will make sure to keep you guys updated i already layed my first coat of fiberglass down i'm goin to put about 2 or 3 more, then a layer of bondo to fill in little imperfections then its time to paint. i should be done with the fiberglass and bondo part by the end of the week i hope....(if work doesn't gets in the way:lol:)

hey i have been considering wiether to buy the nismo headers or msa headers for my z31. has anyone bought the nismo headers??? i'm trying to find out how good they are before i go off and buy them. i have read the msa headers have/or had a fitting problem. so if anyone has some ideas on these just let me kno thanx
