I had this idea in my head for such a long time! lol. I will do it, i have to.. probably going to do it for my passinger door because it doesnt have anything on it..

Dad had a 75 280z with a l26 with "DVG?" webers and was gutted. Never really ran right it would always run real rich after he got on it hard. I remember sitting in it when i was 4/5 and pretanding to drive haha. Oneday he took me on the interstate and did a 40 roll. I remember the rear end sinking and it starting to loss traction than just going. That car was very quick for what we thought it was "stock", but to this day i still think it had some kind of stroker kit or what have you. Really thats what started it for me, my dad sold that car to put food on the table:') Now i am 16 years old and i have had a 240sx shell that i've dropped a engine in and got running but sold. I started saving money for when/if something popped up.. sure enough oneday my dad called me and asked me how much would i pay for a rust free 280z. Long story short, went look at a actually 71 240z that had a rebuilt l28 in it with little to no rust, talked to the guy and got it for $700. pulled it out of the barn that it had been sitting in for quite some time with no windshield or hatch glass or side quarter glass. It now sits in my garage with a windsheild and a hatch glass and side glass getting some TLC. Hopefully it will be low soon(: and spending its days on the track.

And you got the right ones? That's messed up man! I have all good chrome on my car but for some odd reason when I bought the car the passenger side was missing. The whole thing is gone. So I'm just trying to look for somebody that's parting a z out that I can ****** it up. (: Thanks for the heads up, would have hated to buy one from them and have that problem.

I am looking for the chrome piece that seals off the door to glass. I believe it is called "OUTER DOOR MOULDINGS SQUEEGEES". They can be in fair conditon,but really looking for some decent ones. thanks

I'm confused now,I always thought the 240z "l24" oilpan and the 280z/280zx "l28" oil pans are different... If anyone else is reading this and knows for a fact, please correct me. thanks

Is the frame rusty on your z? If thats the only rust or only major rust, fix her up! You may find another z in better condition right now forsale but whats better? Save a few bucks and get a nice one? OR build that one up and have builders rights? Don't let another z die.

what size did y'all use for the dome light?

Not to thread jack 72z, but does safelight have the gasket for the chrome?

My left rear wheel has that same problem, but i've never changed a thing back there.. "71 240z" thought it was normal.. my dad had 75/76 280z that he sold because he thought the frame was bent because his back left wheel did the same thing.. Take a picture of it, im curios to see if its like mine..

Yeah, that's what I understood along time ago. And with the smaller turbo at a high hp rate it will be spinning at it's max alot more than a bigger turbo at the same hp. but If you want to drift the z than you may want to get the smaller holset hy35 "I think y'all said that was the smaller one." So it will spool faster and give you more low end toarqe.

I know everyone that has replied had been spoon feeding me, and I said "thank you" multiple time, b/c I feel bad I don't like asking thousands of questions.. But I don't have a computer, so I'm on a crappy phone and it's really hard to do good research. I'm sorry.. Also, I have been on here and searching all the time before I made a account, and still do.. But I thought while I have someone here willing to help, I would ask. And when I said "some people would.." I wasn't talking about any of y'all; I was talking about just other people who wouldn't care to help.. I have friends like that, that think your just on your own and you have to fend on your own. Which kinda sucks But I wasn't complaining one bit, I was thanking y'all for the spoon feeding :/ Sorry guys. Unlike some threads I would have found that everyone is just ranting everything.

Dude, thanks! That really helped, I like when people explain what their saying, like some people would have just said "go get a hx and, run it till it dies, and tunings hard!" lol Oh one last question, what's a good size injector? For about...350/400hp That's what I'm looking to go up to.. But I know with a boosted car it is hard to stay with one number.

Hm, thanks I'll check into megasquart. I was trying to figure out what would be a safe turbo to use and safe psi to use.. But im thinking about maybe a holset B/c of the cheepness from getting it from the junk yard.. But don't know much about holsets sizing.. Lol.

Lol I will give it some deep throut boost. What do you suggest? Like for tuning, the program? I'm real good with mechanical stuff, I can rebuild a engine with no problem, but when it comes to fuel ratios and electronics I'm pretty dumb. Haha so you may have to baby talk me.. haha thats what i was thinking about getting also.. Maybe a gunmetal with chrome lip on my red z would look good Probably like you said a 16x8 with a SLIGHT stretch.
