  1. so today i cleaned the injectors and did the ohm test again and now it reads 2.45 ohms. and not it runs but really rough. Does it have anything to do with the fact that i'm using the n/a distributor?

  3. the top is green. they seem to be replaced or removed previously because one of the bolts is missing in some of the injectors...
  4. yesterday we were testing everything on the z. We found out that we have spark and it looks like the connector on the injectors are getting a signal. So.... i was thinking maybe the injectores are not for this car... so i went and look on the fsm and fount that that they are suppose to be reading 2-3 ohms. when i check them they did not even had continuity... could all the injectors be bad or incorrect?? a friend is coming tomorrow with his 280zxt, we will swap them and see what happens
  5. OK this is what i have right now it is a turbo engine removed from an 81zx with an auto tranny. I have the whole fuel injection from the same 81zx turbo with the crank angle sensor (which i dont know if i need it for the fuel injection). The only thing missing is the Ignition stuff. What im trying to do is use the distributor that i used to have ffrom my 77. It was the upgraded ignition with the ignition controle module (e12-80) on the dizzy. I already tried to start the car with everything instaled. It seems that my injectors are not firing, but i got spark. Is there a way i can make this work??? do i need the CAS installed in order to get my injectors firing???
  6. If this is my problem how can i solve it. Maybe by changing the timing shaft. Do i have to get the turbo distributor?
  7. i just finished doing my swap but it seems that the injectors are not firing but i think there is something wrong on my wiring, because i was never sure of how to hook everithing up... I'm using a distributor froma 280zx n/a with the e12-80 module. Is there any complications that could happen if i use this distributor.... thaks for your tima any advide would be greatly appreciated...

SO my question is if this is possible will it gain any noticeable power??? thanks for your time
  9. i know it looks pretty cool but i could not seen anything different looks like stock suspension probably the springs are shorter or just heated hehehe i really dont know i will check on that later..........
  10. thanks for the advice but still have some questions. does all of the 280zx use the same ecu or does it have to be out of an 81?
  11. dont worry about it. but i still have some questions which is the easiest and cheapest way to get the car running right.. go for megasquirt or get the stock ecu and maf?? by the way how much do you want for the afm and the ecu??? (280zone)
  12. lol, yes im pretty sure it is a turbo if you notice the hood is different color thats why it is different... so where is a good place to learn of to use megasquirt and places where you can buy it... thanks for your input
  13. ohh, would it be more cost effective to run megasquirt than buy the afm.... another thing is that today i made the engine run but i used a different distribuitor with the ignition module that i used on my 280z, and put gasoline direct on the intake manifold. If i use a differente distribuitor would it cause any problems. I will appreciate any input since finding parts for a turbo its really difficult over here.... thanks My goals with this 280zx is, like many people here, to have a fast car that can be used every day and be streetable. We dont have emission laws here so that not an issue...
  14. is it the same as the 280zx n/a or is it different... another thing that i notice is that the afm says that it is for a l28 and not an l28et. does it make a difference????
  15. mmmm lol that is the main reason why i bought the car for the engine, but when i started cleaning i started liking it so that is why i wll probably keep it but i dont know if it is woth it.
  16. So i picked this zx for 350 dlls.. the car don't start. seems like it has been sitting like 4 years without running and it is missing the ecu and air box.... First of all i wanted to know if it was worth keeping it or just use the engine and put it on my 280z. The engine does turn over but i got no spark i don't know if this is due the missing ecu... i don't even know where to start so i'm looking for any input you guys can give me
