I still havnt even attempted to start on it yet haha, I have a ss blaster and a 6al that I have to wire up to and just looking at it makes me groan haha

haha yea I was in a hurry on writing this post so I was drawing blanks haha.
I have the wideband with the gauge, 240sx throttle body with tps, and the GM AIT sensor haha. I have almost every part for the entire turbo setup......just dont know where to start putting it together hahahahaha, as well as the wiring harness is making me go cross eyed just looking at it haha

Hey I need a lot of help with wiring because I have no idea what Im doing haha. I dont know what I need to keep and what I can let go.
I'm in the middle of turboing my 77 280z and I need some advice. Im not sure if there is any threads on this already but I did look and didnt see any.
So for the electrical in my car, I have a Megasquirt with the 8' wiring harness from DIYAUTO, SS Blaster and 6AL, and Turbo Dizzy.
I know its tough to have someone describe to me or even post pics but any help is appreciated. I just have no idea where to start.

Hey I was wondering if anyone has tried or hearn any info about these?
as in if the turbo will still fit and if the wastegate would have enough clearance.

Looking to buy a Turbonetics t3/t4 turbo. or a turbo that can work within the 300-500hp range thats not to expensive

haha its very far and few in between when I see another z around here. but there is a little club that we do have.

anyone have any ideas for which turbo can accomplish that, that's not ridiculously expensive? or that may be selling one that fits those standards?

Thanks for the link and all the info. Im probably just gonna run an internal wastegate for the time being.
I'm now on the hunt for a turbo. My end game would hopefully be around the 350hp-400hp mark. if anyone could giving me some ideas for which turbo can accomplish that Id be very appreciative. No i don't expect to have 400 out the gate, I'm just looking to work my way there someday haha

my buddy suggested getting a non-wastegated turbo so i can just stick the wastegate wherever

haha thanks for the advice, I forgot about the wide band.
I'm leaving the clutch for now cause it's not to bad and if stuff starts to break it's gonna be the clutch to go.
yes my injectors are massive haha I got them from my buddy who put a turbo on his 633csi bmw haha but he no longer has the car so i just bought his cause they were cheap haha
.I also need to know which megasquirt that i need because all the different versions and build your own are getting me all confused hahaha.

I have been gathering parts for a turbo build for my 77 280z. I am just wondering what I'm missing.
My parts list so far:
ARP head studs
240sx throttle body with TPS
turbo exhaust manifold
Intercooler and Piping
downpipe
BOV
Fuel pressure regulator
turbo oil pan
oil lines
MSD 6al and ss blaster
aluminum radiator
599cc injectors
Upgraded fuel pump
I know I'm missing a few things such as a turbo, some electric fans, and a Megasquirt (not sure which one I need, so any help here would be really appreciated) but other then that I'm not sure on what else I need. Minds drawing a blank.
Any help is appreciated

Looking for a 240sx TB spacer. I've already called Arizona z and they wont have any for over a month. so if you have one or know where to buy one please let me know.

Looking to buy a o-ring fuel rail that will fit a 13mm

Im not sure what its called or if anyone makes it. I know its on a gnose, a 3 piece spoiler, and wide fender flares but other then that Im stumped on where to find it. Also If anyone could tell me about the hood because that thing is sweet. Ive seen this kit on other cars but Im not sure if its all just custom.

Hey how's it going? Im having an issue with my 77 280z running like crap until it heats up. I sit there (seems like 5 min) for it to get to the point of not shutting off on me, otherwise it will just shut off or idle at 500ish and then shut off. I am also getting a strange popping noise while Im having to hold down the gas, which I believe is comming from the intake. I know it's not the most descriptive post buuuuut that's really all I got. Any help is appreciated
Ps. my cars been sitting for a day and it's completely dead.... noooo idea whats up. I turn the key and it just sits there. no fuel pump naise, no clicking like its a dead battery, my lights dont even turn on. Everything is hooked up nice and tight and my fuses are fine... Soooo... ya Im lost on that one. I did have the rubber stopper, that hits the button to turn my break lights off, disintegrate on me a week ago; however I taped a quarter there to hit it. ^.^b so again any help is appreciated

I love this site so much haha, im glad to know im not the only one that has had stipid **** happen haha. i realized my lights were staying on today and im like WTF!!!!!! but before i noticed they were staying on I saw some rubber on the ground, im like great my cars falling apart hahah. but after reading this now everything makes sense hahaha

I bought my 77 280z about a year and a half ago and started doing some major work on it recently and wanted to share how it's coming along/ see if I'm screwing it up haha. sorry for some bad photos my cell takes bad pictures haha
This is how she looked when I first bought her.
then I started on some performance stuff like shocks, exhaust, tune up; as well as getting the msa front air dam and i got some rims from a buddy of mine (sidewalls way to small haha)
then came the turbo project (still in progress)
gutted the interior
taken apart
cleaned yay
inside
apart
Removed some paint
Primer
Turbonetics t3/t4 turbo
test fitting
And mock up
This is basically where I stand now. Its comming along slowly but hope to get it running soon. Im sick of driving an Isuzu Rodeo :'(
