  1. that would be a great help thanks, this is what I need: I am trying to simplify the wiring that runs along the pass. framerail. As you can see I have the V8 installed. so basically I would like to know is what each of those wires I need and which to cut and discard so that I can just loom whats needed in as small a bundle as possible. My main concern is the front and rear lighting. I charged up a battery to run voltage test but without knowing which wire does what I may as well walk blind into an intersection.
  2. would anyone here know where I can find wiring diagrams for a 74 datsun 260Z or where to purchase a haynes manual that seems to be unavailable in my local parts store.
  3. that clutch fork pictured with the hole in it is the stock fork cut short and drilled? how much did you cut off?
  4. well I have the motor fully assembled in my 260Z (72 350 010 block 383 stroker) and the T5 (89 camaro) is mounted. now I am looking at where the shifter will go and as we all know gm T5's mount tilted towards the driver side a bit and thus my question is which shifter would work well there and it seems I might have to do some cutting. any info would be greatly appreciated
  5. well Charleen has my old 383 ( from my 89 IROC convertible)( 1972 o1o block four bolt main) in the engine bay complete with a GM world class T5. nothings wired up yet the fuel pump and fpr is ready to instal and I need to aquire a pair of block hugger headers. I am going with a 3" mandrell bend Y-pipe into one 3" single st8 back to a magnaflow single in single out muffler. anyways thanks for looking here are some pics.
  6. I would go T5, I think the extra weight youll save and the stick's sports car factor would be well worth it. I am in the process now of dropping in a SBC in my 74 260 and considered automatic but I went with the stick simply because my friend whos helping me had one stick that was too intense.
  7. hey 1 quick Z thats cool beans man:icon14: just bought my first 74 260 and seeing your car just motivates me more to swap in the old stroker on my engine stand:icon54: . any ways cool car

  9. hey fellas hello from sunny south florida, my name is johnny and I am about to own my first 71 240Z in the next few days provided the first owner can apply for a title. The body is very clean, interior is shot and the engine does not run but other than that its a solid starting point for my 383/T5 swap that I have sitting in my shed. as soon as I get the car next week I'll post pics and hopefully benefit from this forums members knowledge of the do's and dont's of this type of swap. thanks again
