Z's look so good in white. You are my inspiration. What color white did you use? Mine will be BMW Artic White when finished.... that's a long way down the road.

My current commuter when I'm not driving the Z is my Giant TCR. I've been considering just parking my z and not worrying about driving for now. I've done this though in the past and its nice to have a car to drive when I "NEED" to. IE hot dates

"What's your favorite beer? "
Cold!
Have you tried the Georgia Z club?
Cold it shall be!
I've posted to the GA Z forum. I guess the next step there is posting in their e-newsletter. Good question! Ya got me thinking! I'm a member, I should use my membership!

Hey Titus, can you fill me in on where you went to get the mounts from Recaro? I'm getting a set of 1985 BMW 320is seats from a buddy of mine. He bought the car for the Grassroots Motorsports 2007 challenge (actually placed #12 last year and aiming for top three this year!). Just need to figure out how to mount them now!
Try the Recaro web site. They are called TAB sliders.
You can see them in this photo:
They also have a adaptor Z mount:

I read your ad in the ATL craiglist, I drive everywhere in town. I'm on the search team, my finders fee is a twelve pack. (I,ll share)
I called the DMV office in Cobb yesterday and they don't give out information based on vehicle vin. They said it was a privacy issue. I can understand that.
The Craigs list ad was a good resource, lots of people browse CL. You proved that.

Too young. But, then I'm sure that the stress from all the missed deadlines, last minute f-ups and dorks that worked for him had a little to do with it.
Actual cause of death unreported.

The lost love. I wish I could find her!

Remember the guy''s name who you sold it to?
Look him up.
I need to get to some old files at my dad's house. I don't know if I kept any records. I was a stupid kid. But, thanks for the suggestion. I am going to my dad's this weekend.
I also need to start the paperwork process at the DMW.

Not even close!
Someone suggested checking Carfax. Does Carfax work on older cars?

JCR used to sell the parts on the car. I don't know if they still do. It must be bonded on. If I find the car, I'll sell you the hatch.
Now, can I get some help finding her?

When I purchased it (in the early 80's) it was gold with black interior and stock wheel covers. I added the wheels pictured and later did a full repaint to the Porsche india red shown. I believe that I sold it in the early 90's and I last saw it in a parking deck in Buckhead. I replaced it with a fwd Maxima and an Isuzu Trooper.

That car, the red one that you're looking for, not that locomotive looking silver one, looks ALOT like one that I worked on down in Metairie, LA back in 1983...the owner was from someplace in GA and he drove it down to me to put a set of 72 240 roundtops on it. It was a 74 260 with the old water jacketed flattops on it and I had a set of brand spanking new roundtops. He didn't know how to balance the carbs and I did, so he brought it to me to do the install. I specifically remember the car because of the whaletail and the guy because he had a little green parakeet that rode on the rear view mirror.
If you found ANY evidence of bird poop down by the shifter, that would be the same car. Unfortunately, I never heard back from the guy after I put the carbs on it, so I can't help you with that part, but it would be very interesting if it was in fact the same car.
Warren
Thanks Warren,
When I sold the car, it had a Cartec Holly 4-bbl kit. I still have the old flat-tops somewhere. Did you notice if the car had a cable release for the rear deck? Do you remember?

My next action will be to contact my DMV to see if the serial number is still on record and see if, that way, I can find the current owner.

I blame John for showing me that Audi.... that's an Audi? Looks like an Innie to me!

Found her. She's had a lot of plastic surgery and has been working in the porn industry.
I'd bang that!

Red 260Z #RLS30-018962. Where are ya baby? I let you go and should not have. We last saw each other in Decatur, Ga. Do you remember how much I loved you? Baby come home to me! We'll have good times again!

Did anyone think to check the manufacture tag inside the driver door? How about the plate in the engine compartment? The door plate gives the EXACT build month.

My DD is a '05 Mazda3 5-door w/auto. Black on Black! Sweet!
I also share with the wife a '01 Mazda Tribute to haul the bicycles around.
Just added a hitch to be able to mount my bike rack to also haul the bicycles.
Just sold a '91 BMW 325iC convert' which was my daily before the Mazda3 came onboard.
The 240 is about to climb onto the rotisserie and won't be on the road anytime soon.

dig280Z just scored another "almost freebie"
Begging works in this case!
Hey, does anyone have a set of Panasports laying around that you won't be using?

We've got an Eastwood bead roller that is crank driven. It's best used with a helper to either turn the crank or move the metal, but it works great! We also have their big sheet metal brake and another manufacturers tubing bender and another's rotisserie. I don't play with these tools too often, but they are going to come in handy when I finish stripping my 240Z shell and start replacing the floor pans. I plan on using ZedFindings pans but might add some extra rolls.
