You might want to check out www.speedwaymotors.com look at their exhaust manifolds item #9300327 2 1/2" ramshorns item #9300300 tru ram new cast iron or stainless steel 2 1/2" manifolds WAY COOL. I don't know if they will work with your heads, they are designed to fit first gen small blocks. good luck. L
  2. has anyone done the modification described in Mike Knell's book in order to use the 280Z temp sending unit in a chevy engine? any tricks I need to be aware of, did it work sucessfully? thanks for any info, and have a great holiday season!
  3. grumpyvette, did you ever do the temp sending unit modification described in JTR conversion manual to allow use of stock 280Z temp sender unit in sbc engine? any problems?
  4. why not use old style GM points type dist.(cheap as dirt) with electronic conversion by Pertronics or Crane ( between $75 - $100) works great. it allowed me to set my engine back about another 3/4 in.
  5. 500 ci Cad engine weighs 600 lbs.(thats 25 more than an all iron small block chevy) Edelbrock intake & cam, Sanderson headers, engine set back within 1/4" of firewall due to dist. in front,2004R od trans bolts right up,2 1/2 dual exh. and you have a killer street Z (just dont turn it over 4800 rpm)
