the kit is a universal application, and will fit many different configurations all you have to do is just measure twice and cut once, lol!
-
or just go to your local AZ and get a silicon kit
-
i think you can get it from MSA here's the link www.thezstore.com
-
awsome!!!
-
hey Justin, How is the "kit" coming?
-
the engine has a closed pcv system that when you pull the oil cap off your car should have a drop in idle or die as a result of lost vacuum in the ingine. check to see if you have a good vacuum signal with a vac guage.18in.hG is the amount of vacuum you should have or atleast close to it. if not you may have an internal vac leak like i found on mine( it was the valves). I reground my valves and i am carefully hand lapping the valves to the seats till i get a good polished ring around both surfaces. i am just waiting for my new gasket kit to reassemble the engine and i will repost my results to here. my vac was way low only 6in hg - 12 in hg.we will see what happens.

I love these cars and i recomemd them to anyone who wants a low to moderately priced hot rod that can get decent milage for a commuter car and still be a total kick in the pants!!! enjoy your ZX, and give it all the love you can afford.

and i am obsessed with this car, lol! I love the way they drive, and the sound, makes me sport Wood!!!

yes you should run them @ .010 & .012 cold, On a warm engine .008 & .010 warmed up
-
also the fusible link from the battery to the ecu is a stock item
-
your AFM might be the culprit, check the conn. on the AFM,and see if the signals to it are present. if so then you may have a break in the wires. go back to the JY yu got the ecu and pull the harness for it out of the vehicle you recieved it from.

the original question i had is, is a megasquirt carb leagle?
i am serioulsy concidering the install to help eliminate a lot of hassels i have with the stock efi, co=.3 required 1.0 hc was way high hc=1400 ppm,car is in so. ca. adn it was originally from texas, it only has an evap system, no cat, no egr (N42 head and intake) and now it has developed a new problem that it likes to cut out and die when i stop... HELP!!!
i live in a high desert near victorville, a lil town in an unincorporated part of San Bernardino County, called Phelan
-
have it extrude honed
-
154 psi average, it also smokes a little bit only under acceleration at cruise and idle, no smoke, and yes it is blue smoke. it also smokes when i high rev the motor while in neutral
-
the plugs were oily but there is no fuel smell or taste in the oil( yes i tasted my oil )

my 76 280 is all stock and i am haveing a problen with it running smoothly. The car seems to run alright when you are driving down the road ,but then it will buck,or cut out, and then come back online. sometimes it will start to run from a normal idle and start surging, with the idle going from400-800 rpm's? this is driving me batty. i took it to a smog shop and the co was .3 and the hc was around 1200-1400ppm now i was told it was misfiring at all ranges. I changed the dizzy from a duel pickup to a single pickup and the car seems to run the same according to the EGA can someone please give me a clue or help me to figure out what may bne the problem?
