  2. http://stores.boldperformance.com/-strse-Quantum-dsh-Auto-Adapters-and-Clutches/Categories.bok
  3. just an update... clutch p-plate and flywheel are on the way. And now the waiting game....
  4. w58 bell housing and flywheel/clutch stuff is around 1100. z33 6 speed is 1300-1500 depending on the revision you have.
  5. kudos sir!! I'll copy that and print it all out. Very helpful!
  6. I will en up needing help with wiring.
  7. Clearance is pretty good all around. I'd say close to 65% of the motor is behind the strut towers. and sits a good enough distance away from the firewall to be able to unbolt the trans from the top if I wanted.
  8. Still waiting to get it welded up. its the same set up that austin hoke is running on his vq swap car. its about 4.5" shorter than stock.
  9. B&M short shifter is in front bumper is being prepped and painted for a sating finish. Fender flares are on the way. Need to get my shifter support welded up. Also waiting on more parts from Swap1uz.com If anyone has any question. Feel free to ask. I'm sure ill run into more problems along the way but thats what projects like these are for.
  10. well youll have to cut the 240z trans mounts out to make room but you shouldnt have to cut them very much. i completely took them out. for good measure.
  11. Info on the trans to block adaptor can be found through swap1uz.com i purchased the adapter from Brett. Really good guy to work with very prompt on response. Header clearance is beautiful will be maintaining the stock exhaust manifolds. and ill be making a custom mount for the trans to rest on using the transmission's stock location.
  12. Well here's the build thread on my little 240Z. Plans are a 1UZFE engine. Everyone knows that this motor never came manual. Thats the biggest obsticle I'm facing right now. All kinds of kits are made to make this motor manual. I decided to be different. I decided on a Z33 6 speed. mainly because I got a hell of a deal on a 08 trans. Its the CD009 revision. The big bad trans thats supposed to hold 1000 horse. My next problem is mounts... http://www.1uzfeswapkit.com/Steel-UHMW-Mount-for-the-1UZFE-MkIII-Supra-Engine-PAIR-0000-0007.htm I came up with using mounts made to put a 1uzfe into a mk3 supra. You switch them around and it BOLTS UP to the 240z crossmember. I didnt plan to use these because they came with the motor i bought. but they will work. I have big plans in store for this 240 and there is much much more to come.
  13. Sounds a little expensive to me. I fortunately picked up most of my parts relatively cheap. I paid the following $400 for a slightly rusty 240z $300 for a 80k mile 1uzfe with bellhousing and flexplate. $150 for 2008 z33 6 speed. with 12k miles.... yeah.. I know a guy who works at a nissan dealership.. $333 for a swap1uz.com adapter plate. as for the rest of the stuff like mounts and what flywheel to use i can go into more depth... the art of swapping a 1uzfe is kept kinda secret. i will say though that the majority of people who do go with this engine use a flywheel from a 3VZ AKA 1990 v6 toyota 4runner. and as for mounts maybe you should look at what people do to put this engine into a MK3 supra... hint hint
