I'm installing coilovers on my 75 280 and I'm about to start the rear and had a question. Should I put front insulators in the back while I have it apart to get more room for drop or incase I add camber plates in the front?
I'd rather only do this once. I already forgot to add the washer above the T3 top hat and have to remove the fronts to put them back in. Nothing like doing things twice.

My 70 240 after second build from carjacking.
You were carjacked? That's wild.

Yep, hard to find, lots of junkers, but if it runs and drives and hasn't been hacked I'd take a serious look. I'd start at $4K, $3600 may put the dude off. Lots of good there.

What size tech flex did you use, and what plugs?
Thanks, looks great.

good thoughts all. i did just repair the vacuum lines to get the heater going again and it has been wet here lately.

While changing my front brakes I noticed what looked like a couple drops of oil under the passenger door. Out of curiosity I looked under the body and noticed there was leaking around 2 of the body plugs. I've attached a couple photos of the leaking area. Anyone have any ideas? The fluid was oily and colored like brake fluid. I'm not losing brake fluid or any other fluid that I know of. Kinda crazy.

Oil slick or smoke screen. Or driver eject.

That car has the same look as One Shot's Reflex Blue (I'm sure it's not One Shot), but has the same depth. Also good is the 2013 Maserati Blu Sofisticato which I may be going with for my 75.

The bumper hardware is a bunch of plain steel, low grade 1/4-20 carriage bolts, washers and nuts. Not very well thought out.

If you don't have the bumpers yet use this one from Black Dragon for the front:

Looks just like the 240 even though the listing is for a 260.

Sh*t adds up quick. Take a look at Rodders Journal and consider what some of those guys have invest. Hundereds of thousands. I guess it is possible. I say spend it if you got it. No one here can say they wouldn't do the same if they could, and I'm not taking about stroking a check for $100K, but over time you KNOW you'd do it.
$uccumb to the Z and almighty dollar!

Like everything else, Made in China. But they are nice.

I haven't bought one yet. I was hoping someone had done something similar. I'll order one and see what's what's.

Anyone used/seen/have pics of small rear wings? I was looking at the wing on my wife's BMW and thought it would be cool to use on my 75. It's 46" long and attaches with double sided tape. I bought it prepainted on Ebay for $35 (they are still listed). The hatch on the 280 is 41.5". I'm considering using it only on the hatch itself, or buying 2 of these and cutting extra pieces for the body next to the hatch. Not sure yet, but I've attached a pic for reference. Thoughts? I'd buy one that was painted black. For $35 bucks it's hard to beat. Less is more!

I have the 16x8.25 527 lowered with struts/springs and have no rub at all, ever.

Now that I think about it I may as well put the fronts in the rear and add the camber plates. $40 difference for camber plates from T3.
