So I finally got my bluetooth obd2 plugin that I can use with my cell phone and see all my info. (water temp, fault codes, rpm, speedometer, and others) Apparently i'm displaying a P1336 crank sensor error. It seems using a 99pcm on a 98 motor that the pcm needs to relearn the motor... but unfortunately you need someone with a Tech2 or efi live tool to tell the pcm to relearn. I do not know anyone with this, and most dealers will not touch a car that is hybrid. I'm at a wall on what to do... anyone in DFW know someone with these scan tools that would be willing to take a few minutes to let my pcm relearn the motor?
Did you get this sorted? If not try DSXTuning. He did my basic tune (tire size, trans, removed the security, etc.) for $50. He's on FB here:

my hi beam selector switch broke last night after I finished relays.. can he replace that switch? or does it just clean and send it back?
Not sure, you'd have to ask him. Here is his listing for a switch, the rebuild service is $75.

Rturbo 930- Wouldn't the box shape provide additional stiffness or rigidity? So If I'm going to take that piece out and replace it with a flat piece of steel,(per the recommendation of those here) putting that thin 18 gauge (or whatever thickness it is) in place would make it less stiff than when it started. So to make up for the strength but using less space, it would have to be a thicker steel? Right?
While I will concede 1/4 might be a bit much, going to that thin OE thickness sheet metal seems like a waste of time. I'm thinking 3/8th's might be a winner here. Would everyone say that would be a safe choice?
Thanks again for the pictures Dan. Gotta ask, did you just have that cut away lying around or did you do that for little Ole me? Lol
Thanks again for all the input guys, really appreciated.

You could use 16ga steel if you formed it into a smaller hat channel like you have. Forming sheet adds a great deal of rigidity. Make it a 1/4" tall hat cahnnel.

There is a dude on Ebay that will rebuild the headlight switch for $75. Makes them like new. Mine was real sensitive when I sent it to him, but like new when it came back. Not the same as modern switch but almost.

Nevermind. Ordered through RHDJapan.
-
Updates. He has the other side finished now.
-
Judging by the hat channel shape I would have to assume that would have been for added strength.
-
I think have them. Mine is a 75. Lemme know if 280zex don't work.

The door pulls will eventually be carbon fiber. He does some really nice work. Have a look at the Z he widened by 2 inches on each side.

As the title states.

John Royal is currently making some nice door panels. Looks like a good updated alternative.

3M makes an adhesive remover that is very effective and safe.

I posted about this in a different thread here:

It has a link to the build thread on lateral-g. This car is a really nice departure from the norm. Some fresh ideas all around, and the front end is super sweet.
Can't wait to see this finished.
Also the interior bits are killer as well.

You're better off with pictures from here. But give me your address and email a copy.

i was just searching for one yesterday and only found one new MC on Ebay I think. $199. Rebuilts are all over Ebay starting at $60, but I wanted new.
I gave up and bought the Wilwood for $121 from Summit.
Becareful though, some like to put the rebuilt part in very small type. I think Silvermine has a new 15/16 for $125. Only problem with SM is the shipping. $38!

You trimming the wire before you start? That little burnt end can keep the arch from starting consistently.
-
Ordered one as well for my LS swap, should be here tomorrow.

I have been looking at the MSD wires online and saw there were 2 boots. According to the ebay ad, black boots are regular and red boots are hi temp? http://www.ebay.com/itm/MSD-Ignition-32819-32813-spark-plug-wire-set-LS1-LS2-LS3-LS6-LS7-LS9-/151012469582?hash=item23290b6b4e&vxp=mtr
Look at the 3rd picture.
If you want to try my old set with like 3 miles on them I'll sell them for $25.

I originally bought a set of those in red (high heat). I think the guy makes the sets. The wire is MSD, but not the boot or plug at the coil. I threw a misfire DTC. Changed to real MSD's, no more code. Coulda been the luck of the draw but for another $12 you get a set made by MSD.
I also added fiberglass sock things at the headers. The annoying brown spot in the photo is the skin from an almond. I can eat enough of them and get almond crumbs on stuff, sorry.

You'd think MSA would some decent, up to date pics of this shit.
