  1. ok. i pulled my head off and got a good look at my N47 head and intake today,and i dont think the FI intake will work with the E88 head even tho i was told it would. i might be wrong but as far as i can see the injectors will be spraying right into the side of the head as they have their own ports that run into the intake ports. the N47 head has a partial port on top of the intake ports as the E88 does not. im sure this is old news but maybe it will do someone some good.

  3. cool! the z i just got has this "pantera" style hatch conversion, hence the screen name "flatbackz". i was wondering bout how it mighta been made. mine also has a smoothed tail section with four round tail lights. and the rear valance was smoothed with a little bumper thats incorporated into the valance. not sure if i like the bumper that much?
  4. a yea i dunno how i got 64MM on there.im a recovering dumbass tho so i went out and remeasured, and its a 60MM.
  5. ok so faQ dont give me any results every time i try it. but i have been searching thru old threads so dont nobody yell at me. so i've come to the realization that the n47 is notorious fer cracking, so im pretty sure that will be the case on mine. now fer what i want to kno. i thought i saw somewhere that the n42 block had flattop pistons. true or false? also i measured my intake ports on the E88 and there 34MM, I read that they were 30MM stock and that 33 to 35MM was a good street bore, is this accurate? also assuming that both my cams are stock which would be better the E88 cam or the N47 cam? i have a 64MM TB on the car. How the f@#k could i need that on a n/a motor?

I've got a 77 280z with a n42 block, n47 head, and a spare e88 head. the n47 is said to be cracked but i havent varified that yet. what problems would i run into puttin the e88 on the n42 block? the car is FI so i geuss id have to drill or bore the intake ports on the head for the injectors? would the E88 cam be good fer the n42 block? would this head swap be worth the trouble at all? need some help here.
