Hey guys, thanks for all the info. I have decided to go with zstore basic h4 lights, and I will upgrade to some good projectors when I get the funds. Thanks for the info on the black dragon harness though, I will order a zstore one for sure.

So I am looking for some new headlights, and I wanted to go brighter than halogens or other sealed beam lights. Black dragon automotive has something called their "Custom Headlight" which is just a reflector housing with replaceable bulbs. My question is does anyone know what size bulb it is? Common sense makes me want to think it is a H4 bulb. I just spent 15 minutes on the phone with a representative trying to figure it out, but she just kept saying "ohhhhhhhh, ok. let see here" and then proceeded to read the catalog to me. If anyone can help, that would be great.
Here is the link to the page in the catalog: http://www.blackdragonauto.com/icatalog/zr/full.aspx?Page=65
And if you turn to the page before it (64), you can see the available bulbs.
Thanks in advance :/

Just read the whole thread, and wow am I impressed. I also live in WA (Sammamish), and although I know almost nothing about these cars, I own one, and I would love to stop by and see what I just read about for an hour

Well, do some research on an ebay seller named paezfs. He has stirred up some problems among members. He has a system of mounting with brackets and bolts through factory holes, which would work except he molded the bumpers wrong. Still waiting on replacements.

Hey Hybrid Z!! I bought myself a 1976 280z a few months back, and I have been documenting the progress. I threw it all up on a blog site for you guys to see. Hopefully, you guys can enjoy watching an awesome car come together. Feel free to ask me questions either on the blog, this thread, or message me!

I will consider all, please post pics. Thanks!

I've been looking to get a BRE front spoiler for my 76 280z. If you have one or know of someone who has one, please post!
Thanks.

I am currently running a custom straight pipe back to an ebay fart can muffler. I don't have any bending or welding skills so i had some buddies at a muffler shop hook me up. They were all laughing at the muffler when I left, but when i came back to pick it up they were mouth-wide eyes-open. They were thoroughly impressed by it. I have a full 2 1/2 inch pipe, no resonator, and a ebay $30 glass pack can muffler on the end and it has no rasp at all. Sounds awesome. If you want I can post a video, been looking for an excuse to rev it up.
Also, as for the 3 inch exhaust, it really isn't necessary unless you plan on swapping turbo, but I know a lot of people like the sound. If I were you, I would go 2 1/2, but that's my opinion.

An update on my bumpers, I still cant manage to get the rear one to come in enough to mount, I tried both the provided bolts and also some that I picked up from home depot that threaded into stock holes. Really not very happy with how wide the gap is from the ends of the rear fender to the body, maybe it was a mold error.......Same problem with front. I can crank them tighter but then it waves.

Hey guys, ordered the bumpers, got them in the mail a week or so later. Was frustrated trying to mount when I realized I had no mounting hardware. I sent paezfs a message and he sent me a new pack in a few days. Very happy with build quality and customer service. I am still confused on the mount though. I realize the back mounting points go in the stock mounting holes, and I got that. I cant get the mounting hardware to work with the side stock holes however. The bolt is too thin to grip the stock threads, and there is no access to the back of the hole from under the car to be able to tighten it with the nuts. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Check out my build blog!!

Just wanted to bump this back up, It's been a few months since my last post here regarding this. I believe I have made quite a bit of progress. I would love to both ask for opinions on the work that has been done so far, in addition to fielding any questions that anyone has regarding anything done so far.
