  1. I ran across this ad and was wondering if anyone knows the process to get a title in South Carolina? Is it more trouble than it would be worth? Thank you in advance, Lou 1973 DATSUN 240Z. Complete car for parts, no title. Bill of sale only. Not running, Very sound body. $850 OBO
  2. What are the differences between an older 350 block, lower end and an lt1 block? Would there be any problems using the heads and EFI system from an LT1 on a older 350 engine? Thanks, Lou
  3. Hey, has anyone messed around with this Howard Stewart mechanical EFI fuel pump? It says no need for a return line to the tank, or for that matter you don’t need to swap out tanks at all. Sounds too good to be true. If anyone was any experience with this pump please clue the rest of us in. Lou
  4. Nice engine for my 2000 Pathfinder. Lou
  5. Making noise while turning is when a CV joint on a front wheel drive car often makes noise when bad. I had a similar problem on my s10 truck "after my brother-in-law changed front wheel bearings" when I got home on leave and checked it out the driver side front wheel had about 1/4" play in and out, I put on all new hubs, rotors and brgs and problem was solved. "rotors needed to changed anyway" Lou
  6. Thanks for all the input, it's funny but I never thought of it as 30 yr old cars.....damn time flies when your having fun. Lou
  7. I was just wondering what is the cause of a rusty Z? Is it the environment the car has lived in, ie.. up north where salt is used on the roads and the costal areas where the owners drove a lot on the beach and failed to wash the underside? Or is it some sort of lack of technology in primers and paints at the time when the cars were made? As I am starting my search for a Z I am just wondering if all I am going to find is a Z with a lot of rust. Lou
  8. Jimzdat - We received the box the other day, My guys and I just wanted to tell you thank you. Louis
  9. Well lets see do you think a 240z would fit? LOL I think just about anything that is sent is welcome, we did have a shoratage on baby wipes when we had no working showers for about a week, but that drainage problem is fixed for now. I can not wait until I get back to the states and start my hunt for a z to drop an v8 in I was on leave a few weeks ago when I ran across this site and got the Z bug. (you all will be sorry when I start asking my questions, cause I have a ton of them LOL) Thanks, Lou
  10. Well being that I am in Iraq I have an address if you would like it our unit address is HHC 4th IBCT 1st ID Unit# 42529 APO AE 09361 Thank you for your support. SSG Louis Foster
  11. This might be a bit late but maybe it will help someone else out with the same problem. I too had a problem with an engine getting hot, after replacing belts, thermostat, new radiator and cap it still was getting hot. The lower radiator hose was so soft that the force of the water pump sucking water from the radiator would collapse the hose and then it could not get any water flowing. Replaced the lower hose and problem was cured. I hope this helps as it is my first post, I was home on leave from Iraq last week and ran across this site and I too have been bitten by the V8Z bug. I can't wait until I get home for good and find me a Z to drop some power in Lou
