  1. Great thanks, was as simple as the igniter box, you called it, thanks for the help. Stony, I talked to Carbonetic rep from Japan and he asked me a few questions: Power I would put down, push or pull and R32/33 or the R34. Stony wanted to ask you where you sourced your Jun head parts from. I am looking for all Jun valvetrain parts and 270 lift cams. I just want one place to buy everything from, one stop shopping is so much easier. Thanks Stony
  2. Thanks Stony, car has been down for about 3 weeks needing a clutch, finally decided on a Carbonetic carbon twin disc. I am pumped to get this thing up and running. Just need to find out what motor for the flywheel, the R34 are a little different for the clutch I am looking at. Thanks again, still nobody with engine code stamp location????

  4. I need to find out if my motor is from a R32/33 or R34. I need to know where to look for the build date/engine code stamp on block. I searched and came up with nothing, maybe using wrong search criteria? Thanks for the help in advance. Larry
  5. I consider myself a very frugal person, but when it comes to something that may see 75 000 rpm, I would not skimp. I would suggest getting your turbo VSR balanced or even a low speed machine will do. Cost is only about $75 or so but the peace of mind is worth 10 times that. Just like balancing your car wheels, just my .02c Good luck Larry

  7. I have a RB26 with 25 tranny in it. My clutch went south but I do not know if the flywheel is from the 25 or the 26? I have heard of some guys running a RB25 clutch and flywheel with a RB25 starter on the 26 motor, or do I just have all the facts messed up here. Are they interchangeable? Is there a chart with size of the ring gears or spline counts somewhere? I need to order a clutch but I am hesitant to order the wrong thing, please help. Thanks Larry
  8. The Exedy multidisk is what I was looking at, $2300 ouch!!! There has to be someone on this board who is running this type of combo, who has personal experience with some type of after market clutch for this motor, tranny combo, please chime in. I took out the clutch today, what a pain in the rear. I really see problems trying to get trans back in, the tilt angle was severe, when I finally slid the tranny off.
  9. First off, I have been lurking here for a while and everyone seems more knowledgeable about the motor and working on their cars than most of the sites I visit. I have a RB26 with RB25 tranny. I am need of a clutch that will support a ceiling of 600 HP, which would put torque around 500 or so. I like to hear from the guys running twin disc clutches or a single disc that support that much torque. I am not against spending money but I am on a budget, which is somewhat bust already.
