  1. Now that the mr2 is pretty much done (just waiting on a new ECU) im going to be starting on my 1977 280z. It will be getting all new suspension, brakes, wheels, paint, interior and a nicely rebuilt motor. Ill be starting on the body work this week and getting it ready for paint. I have already been prepping the motor at my shop. Here are some pics of what im starting with. No pics of the motor right now Ill have to get some from the shop. No cracks in the dash!!! Ill post progress pics as I work on it.
  2. That sucks man. I work at an auto shop down here in Louisiana. If we damage someones car we fix it. No BS. My boss just so happens to be the guy to go to with Z cars too. He can fix him with his eyes closed. Its crazy.
  3. Check the level/color of the oil and Tranny fluid. Check the brakes. Check the air filter. Check to see if the timing belt was done. Check coolant color/level. Check belts for cracks and tightness of them. Check brake fluid, power steering fluid, clutch fluid if its a stick. Umm thats all i can think of right now. I have a list at work that we check when people want us to inspect a car.
  4. 20-30 min? NO way! I do it everyday for work and it takes me a few min max
  5. Im not sure on the Z. But most master cylinders have a rubber o-ring on the backside of the master cylinder where it meets the booster. Do you have that o-ring? If not that could be your problem.
