Manual suggests to cut it off until until you get it driving under reasonable AFRs by the VE table.

I got all of my couplers for my z from them, but we put together a kit for a pinto from CX. Its very efficient.

Or lightly heat with a heat gun....you can also LIGHTLY tap the seal in all the way around with a rubber hammer until you get a happy medium. The effect is totally reversible when they get broken in. Its very likely that they are thicker than stock.

Oh, sorry, I now see you have that figured in...

You also need an IAT sensor and temp sensor that van be calibrated with the MS

I thought about doing the same. Best engine placement could only be had by cutting out and recessing the firewall and tranny tunnel. Also, I was planning on converting to a 240sx master cylinder and using a Chase Bays brake booster delete kit. Ended up looking like too much a project for the time being, but good luck with it. I would love to see one get completed.

Idk how far you are, but there is an ld28 on Atlanta craigslist.

Jason, I have the same setup and am still playing with the settings for the injectors. There's a thread in the FAQs on injector opening times. Someone referred to use the same settings for our injectors as the DSM 450cc.

This thing is gonna be a beast! I love the 5.3 in my Tahoe. But with that aside, being a body man, I wish I seen a freshly painted bay behind that beauty!

I, personally, go all the way from side to side when spraying. Maintaining the same distance from the panel and consistent 50% overlap is the key to a uniform base coat. U prolly just need to put another good coat over it before clear.

Does anyone care to share your injector settings for your low z 440cc injectors? I am running an MS2v3 board. I've been through the FAQs and searched but haven't seen anything in concrete. Thanks guys. By the way, I am gonna go let Turbo Dave tune it on the dyno this weekend. I just want it to get it pretty well setup with the basics. Thanks in advance.

U see the ms1 in the 'parts for sale' section?

Its a little outdated, bit an etching primer has always has the best results for me. Even some etch primer out of a spray can. And THEN a coat of sealer. I use etch and then epoxy. You won't have to scuff metal for etching primer to "soak" into the steel.
