  1. There are 2 different tach adapters. You may have gotten the wrong one. I ran MSD on my 73 for years and never had a problem. I would make sure you have the correct adapter and recheck all wiring. The part # for the correct one is 121-8910. This adaptor is for points or amplifer. Your ride came with a points dizzy. The other adapter is for a dizzy with a magnetic pickup.
  2. I'm not a full blown master tech but,the IAT is "inlet air temp" and I would think it would be positioned in the hose or pipe just before the throttle body. I could be wrong but, like mentioned above, you want to give the ms ecu the correct temps in order for the unit to work properly. like I said,I am no master tech and I could be wrong on this.
  3. The numbers refer to the heat range of the spark plug. 6 is the standard heat range,at least for the na cars, 5 would be a hotter plug and 7 would be a colder plug.
  4. Thanks Sid and thanks to Matt also.
  5. Matt,I guess I am still alittle confused and mybe I did not state my question clearly. The inj 12v poles on the end of the relay board by the 12v power and 12v swithed power, run one wire from each 12v inj to power the injectors and the inj1 and inj 2 poles on the other end of the board is for the other wire to the injectors? Please forgive,I am very new to this and trying not to ask so many um dumb questions.
  6. On the relay board there are INJ1-INJ2 and then INJC12v. My question,I know you can runnall 6 injectors off one bank. What is the 12v injector outputs on the end of the relay board? Do I run the wire from inj 1 for one wire and the 12v injuctor for the other wire to the injectors? I know I can also run 3 injectors off each inj1 and 2 but just not sure about the inj 12v outout. Thanks in advance . MS1 3.0 with ignition output.
  7. If I understand, I can use my existing aar valve. Will I hook the wire for the fidle to the aar?
  8. rvandivort,I bought an ms1 with single ign output. I already have an 83 turbo dizzy,I needed to know about the cold start. If I read Naviathan"s post right,I can use my aar without the cold start valve. Just about have all parts needed. Would still like to have someone in the San Diego area, who has done the change,to help if possible.I have a shop to use and will pay for gas if needed. Again, thanks for the replies.
  9. Thanks to all who responded. I still have a few more things to get,do before I install my ms-1. To me ,it is all alittle intimidating and I had hoped to find someone in the San Diego aera who had done the swap to maybe give me a hand. So far, have not come across anyone yet so I'm gonna have to do more reading before I do the swap. I guess it dosen't matter what year tps to use. Anywho, thanks again to all that responded. I'm sure I will have more questions as I get further along on this. Thanks again.
  10. Don't need a tb,just need to know what year tps most use for ms. Thanks.
  11. What year 240sx tps do most use when doing ms and can the oe cold start system still be used? Thanks in advace,Dex.
  12. Z-Ya thanks for the reply.Have you done this on a 78 n/a?
  13. This is my first post here,so please be gentle. I have searched and searched and maybe I just haven't searched enough yet but,I have a n/a 78 that I recently got a ms1 system for.Completed unit with relay board, stimulator, wiring and sensors. This unit was made for use with 82-83 turbo dizzy. I also run a msd unit. Like I said,I'm still going through stuff and would like to talk to someone who is running similar setup. Thanks in advance.
