  1. The gauges are all autometer white faced guages (Speedo with odometer,Tach, fuel, volt, water temp, oil, boost, wideband air fuel) The ls1 has a rebuilt 6 speed transmission. The fuel system is a custom 417ms dual walbro 255 setup. The car is tuned on hptuners through chris locally which is the best tuner localy for ls1's. I had the car painted. Carbon fiber hood. Big front mount intercooler. Lots more to say just let me know if you want more info...

  2. I pulled the motor when I recieved it being im not an sbc fan. Ordered modern-motorsports billet 280z stub axles and billet cv adapters . I changed the half shafts to the 280z cv axles and had them cryo treated. To complete the rear end I had 417 motorsports a local shop custom make a rear mustache bar and diff mount. 417 motorsports also did my ls1 install a custom set of motor mounts. They then installed a custom single t72 ball bearing turbo with fully coated custom turbo manifolds. They are completed with full stainless 3.5 inch exhaust with electric qtp cutout. I had original 280z seats completly remade from frame up and installed new carpet and rear quarter interior panels.

  3. Purchased the car in 2007 from a guy on here. This is what was done when I got it.

Car was completely dissasembled from what I was told. He then treated any rust spots with a rust inhibitor. Then cleaned the entire car. Upon assembly he sound matted the entire floorboard and side panels with 1/8inch adhesive dynomat. and installed a full dash cover over the exsisting dash (which turned out excellent). Bought a painless style full body harness with fuse box and installed it. Installed the aftermarket front bumper. Installed a 3.7 lsd rear. The engine was a 350sbc unmolested install.(nothing was chopped up during install). The car ran really good but i dont like carburated motors.

  4. OK. Where are you located and what has been done to the car besides the LS1 turbo?

  5. I have about 19k in it make me an offer..

  6. How much do you want for your car?

  7. Mine is always for sale for the right amount. Ls1 single turbo.. great daily driver. http://www.perfectlandingairpark.com/images/stories/demo/DSC00654.JPG http://www.perfectlandingairpark.com/images/stories/demo/DSC00655.JPG http://www.perfectlandingairpark.com/images/stories/demo/DSC00405.JPG Vid before paint. http://missouriairparks.com/video/MOV00547.MPG
  8. Wish this car was still for sale I would have bought it
  9. Found 2 videos before I painted it. http://missouriairparks.com/video/MOV00544.MPG http://missouriairparks.com/video/MOV00547.MPG 1/4 10.85 pass
  10. The paint was in bad shape. It was cracking on all the bondo spots and some body work was needed. The color now looks awesome in person. And the times were set on d/r's waiting to put the slicks on and still using the 6spd trans which could use a rebuild. Im already cutting 1.50 60's.
  11. The car has been done for a few months now. Best pass was 10.85 at 130 on 8lbs on 11.0 a/f. Waiting for next year to go to 13lbs and retune. I will get better pics when it warms up.
  12. spec 3+ is what I am using now on my ls1 trans. Nice for street and excellent for track.
  13. Cars almost done will be posting pics soon and be attending the branson z fest8-)
  14. Well ross walked me through it. I ended up dropping the lower LCA and pulling it out then inserting the CV and bolting it to the companion flange which then I bolted the lower LCA back up. I do have the longer end caps like you pointed out I ended up pressing mine in further. I have 1/2-3/4 play now with the CV's. We need to get a more detailed description on installing these conversion kits and make it a sticky. There seems to be so much lost info that is not pointed out prior to install.
  15. I couldnt find any letters on the side of the strut housing. Also if I did have the wrong sleeve (spacer) and then got a correct one which would be shorter it would really mess things up..
  16. to add the 280zxt cv's measure not compressed 20 3/4 short cv and 20 1/4 long cv
  17. So this causes a problem. I cant get the cv flange to sit flat with the companion flange. The nipple that sticks out on the cv shaft hits the stub axle threads and wont allot the cv to sit flat. Which in the end puts the cv shaft at max compression which the axle is bound. I wish there was a post with step by step instructions on how to install this setup. With maybe a parts list for us newbs.
  18. I installed the outer bearing the same way as it came off with the flanged side facing the wheel studs. posting pics now. To add my CV's wont fit.
  19. I pressed the outer bearing on then put the sleeve on and the sleeve is preventing the inner bearing from sitting on the shaft. its actually 1/2 ways on the shaft and 1/2 on the spline.
  20. ya sorry I meant outer.. Another question. Is there a difference between the sleeve on a 240 and 280 stub axle?
  21. The rear end is going back together and need to make sure im correct. Parts used: MM Billet 280 stubs MM billet companion flanges 280zxt CV's 1 long 1 short R200 New wheel bearings and Seals So The Stub axles wheel bearings. There is 2 different bearings the inner and outer. The inner bearing has the flange sticking out on it? The CV adapters. The nut gets torqued to 180 -200lbs. The CV adpater bolts (6) that go to the CV get torqued to 20lbs? The Shorter CV goes on the drivers side? Anything else im missing?
  22. Well I finally went and took some pics of the progress. I pulled the old 355 and the T56 trans. Swapped it with a 99 LS1 out of a TA and used the LS1 trans. Ordered the Mod motorsports billet steel 280zxt adapters and the billet steel 280 stubs which all is being installed now. Then went with a T72 Turbonetics BB turbo with a 40mm turbonetics newgen wastgate. Intercooler is an ebay special 4" thick. Plans to get a little over 500whp and run drag radials only. I will be ordering some suspension stuff from mod motorsports soon. Here is jsut a few pics I will get more soon. Sorry pics are from camera phone...
  23. Guess I will jsut put a ford 9" and be done........ lol come on I know you guys are looking you just dont want to say. You are biting your tounge to just say SEARCH and you will find your answer..
  24. Well I am torn on what ssetup to get. I bought marcus's 71 240z awhile back and replaced the 355 sbc/T56 trans with an LS1 w/LS1 6 speed. I have the R200 lsd in the rear now and have made a custom alum. mustache bar and a stout diff mount. I am now moving to the CV's and hubs. What should I change to? The 70 ->78 Z - 300ZX CV Conversion Package,70->78 Z - 280ZXT CV Conversion Package,Billet 4340 280Z Stub Axles. Money not being a huge issue. I will mainly use drag radials and be driving this on the street bbut it will see some drag strip to. I read up on alot of the different options but just dont know which is the best way to go. And which CV's should I go with?280zxt,z31ect.. Also the car is in the process of having a Turbonetics T72 bb single turbo setup running around 6-7 psi.. So roughly I will be pushing 500 or more to the wheels.
